Aniimo: How to Get Gracewing From Flutternym (Level 21)

Gracewing arrives at Flutternym level 21 with one Gust Stone, and each regional form evolves into its matching counterpart.

Flutternym is the small Wind-type healer that flits around the Breezy Plains region, and it is one of the earliest Aniimo you can push through an evolution. The payoff is Gracewing, a bigger butterfly with better numbers across the board and a team-wide emergency heal. The unlock itself is short, but the form your Flutternym happens to be wearing decides which Gracewing you end up with.

Quick answer: Raise any Flutternym to level 21 and spend one Gust Stone. It turns into Gracewing and keeps whichever regional form it already had.

Flutternym evolution requirements

Flutternym has exactly two conditions attached to its evolution, and nothing else gates it. There is no quest flag, no time-of-day window, and no separate unlock to chase down first.

  • Aniimo level 21.
  • Gust Stone x1.

Those requirements are identical for every version of the creature. The base form, the Sea of Flowers form, the Nighttime form, and the Mountain Woods form all evolve at the same level for the same single stone.

Where to catch Flutternym

The base form is a Breezy Plains resident and shows up in four habitats, so you rarely need to go far to find a spare one to raise.

  • Nimbus Fields
  • The Mistwoods
  • Blitzwood
  • Sea of Flowers

The species gives itself away with the glowing scales it sheds while hiding, so follow the shimmer rather than scanning the canopy.

What changes when Flutternym becomes Gracewing

Every base stat goes up, and the creature roughly doubles in height, from 0.5 m to 1 m, while its weight stays at 6 kg. The role does not change: Gracewing is still a Heal unit built around keeping the rest of the team standing.

The jump in EP Regen is the one worth planning around, since most of the family’s kit costs energy to cast. Pathfinding also improves, with Fly moving from level 1 to level 2.

Gracewing’s healing kit after evolution

The biggest reason to evolve is the innate skill that only the evolved form carries. Everything else in the kit is support work rather than damage.

Help! Gracewing!08s
Wind of Rejuvenation2020s
Purifying Dance2015s

Help! Gracewing! is the headline addition. It restores 30% of the caster’s max HP to the whole team the moment it fires, with no energy cost, which makes it the panic button Flutternym never had.

Wind of Rejuvenation drops a warm wind zone underfoot that heals the entire team for 9% of the caster’s max HP across 8 seconds. Wind-type allies standing in it pick up an extra 3% on top.

Purifying Dance strips every debuff from nearby teammates, then hands them a 20% EP recovery boost for 10 seconds afterwards. It is a cleanse first and an energy tool second.

Phantomfly is exclusive to the evolved form. It leaves a phantom butterfly at the spot that returns 20 EP to any teammate who touches it after a 3-second delay, and you can have two of them out at once.

Regional and nighttime forms evolve into matching Gracewings

Forms do not merge on evolution. A Sea of Flowers catch becomes a Sea of Flowers Gracewing, a Nighttime catch becomes a Nighttime Gracewing, and so on. Each variant keeps its second element and carries one skill the base form never learns.

Healing Dance lays down the same warm wind heal for 9% of max HP over 8 seconds and adds 40% BREAK damage reduction for anyone inside it. Phantom Dance clears debuffs from the caster and, while benched, brings the butterfly out automatically to clean up the active teammate. Wind of Regeneration is the odd one out, handing allies in the area a shield worth 12% of the caster’s max HP for 20 seconds instead of healing them.

Stat lines are identical across all four variants, so pick your form for the element pairing and the exclusive skill, not for raw numbers.

Somniwing is not part of the evolution chain

Somniwing shares the family name and sits right beside the butterflies in the Aniilog, which leads a lot of players to assume it is a third stage. It is not. No evolution path leads into Somniwing and none leads out of it, so there is nothing to level or feed to reach it through this line.

It is also built differently. Somniwing is a Grass and Wind creature in the Energy role, with 111 HP and 115 EP Regen, and its kit runs on Ethereal Light Wave, Energy Orb, Hypnotic Spores, and Butterfly Dance rather than the dance-and-heal set. Gracewing, for its part, has no further evolution listed at all.

How to confirm the evolution went through

The change is obvious in three places. The name on the creature switches to Gracewing, its stage entry moves from Lumin to Nova, and the model roughly doubles in size on the field.

Check the skill list next. If Help! Gracewing! and Phantomfly are both sitting there, the evolution registered, since neither exists on the pre-evolution form. Pathfinding showing Fly Lv.2 is the other quick tell. Your Aniilog will also log a separate entry for the evolved creature, so a form-specific evolution fills in its own slot rather than overwriting the one you already had.

If you are chasing the full set, the practical route is to raise four separate Flutternyms, one per form, and spend a Gust Stone on each. Sea of Flowers covers two of them, since both the flower and nighttime variants share that habitat, while Blitzwood and Beast Fang Ridge handle the autumn-coloured one.
