Hexxin is the Dark/Grass Regen Aniimo sitting at No. 021 in the Aniilog, and it is the reason a lot of Dark teams work at all. Its trait, Prank, drops Curse on enemies and turns Dark basic attacks into EP income for the whole party. There are only two ways to add one to your roster, and both are quick once you know where to stand.

Quick answer: Catch a wild Hexxin in The Mistwoods (Breezy Plains) at a base 28% catch rate, or evolve a level 18 Hummin using Night Stone x3.

Where Hexxin spawns: every region and level range

Hexxin has three documented forms, and the form you get is decided entirely by where you catch it. The Basic Form only appears in The Mistwoods. The Mountain Form is the one you will run into first if you have been exploring the Sea of Flowers.

FormRegionLevel rangeSpawn points
BasicThe Mistwoods35–378
MountainSea of Flowers19–288
MountainBerylline Vale40–472
PrismanaThe Mistwoods35–37Prismana Flow only

A suitable habitat alone does not guarantee a spawn. Weather and the time of day affect which Aniimo appear, meaning an empty hillside does not necessarily mean you chose the wrong location. Alpha and Elite Hexxin cannot be captured, so pass them by and search for a regular variant.

Catching Hexxin in The Mistwoods

The reliable cluster is on the far-left, swampy edge of The Mistwoods, where Hexxin and Hummin share the same patch of ground. Head there once you have Aniipods to spare.

Open the world map and move to Breezy Plains, then find The Mistwoods region. The zone is marked on the map as a rainy, Lv. 41–43 area, so bring a party that can survive the local wildlife.

Travel to the western side of the region and aim for the swamp around coordinates -1050, 1234. This is the wettest, darkest corner of the woods, and the spawns sit close together here.
Walk the edge of the swamp water. A Hexxin spawn point sits right beside it, usually within sight of a Hummin or two.

Follow the grassy hillside next to the swamp. There is a second Hexxin spawn up the slope, alongside a Mutant Truffle and a level 43 Hummin, which makes the hill a decent loop to run if the first spawn is empty.

Damage the Hexxin, break it if you can, and throw from behind. Both of those bonuses multiply your odds before HP and level bonuses are applied.

Before you start throwing, open the rock-top chest in the swamp. Contents: Sparkling Crystal x3; Credits x3000; Anipod x5; Growth Bud x4.

Hexxin catch rate and which Aniipod to use

Hexxin is a Moderate catch tier with a 28% base rate at full HP using a standard Aniipod. Better pods multiply that rate directly, and three options skip the dice roll entirely.

AniipodMultiplierChance at full HP
Aniipod×128%
Legendary Aniipod×128%
Aniipod Pro×1.542%
Aniipod Hyper / Mega / Track×256%
Aniipod UltraGuaranteed100%
Sparkling CubeGuaranteed100%

Breaking the target adds a ×1.5 bonus, and a throw from behind adds another ×1.5, both applied before HP and level modifiers. Rarity rolls happen on the catch itself: a Sparkling Hexxin lands at 1 in 20,000, and the Umbral version at 1 in 3,000. Umbral is a rarity roll rather than a form, and its dark recolour disappears after evolution or transformation.

Evolving Hummin into Hexxin at level 18

If you already have a Hummin, this is the cheaper route. Hummin is a Lumin-stage Grass Breaker, and it reaches Nova stage as Hexxin the moment you meet two conditions.

Hummin

  • Hummin must be at Aniimo level 18.
  • You need Night Stone x3 to pay the evolution cost.

That is the whole requirement. Hummin’s line forks at the same level, though, and the other branch leads to Tuckin instead. The Tuckin path adds two extra conditions on top of level 18: digging for 20 seconds at the entrance of Sanctum: Twisted Roots, and defeating the Omega Tuckin. Skip both if Hexxin is what you want.

Hexxin is the end of this line. You cannot evolve into the Prismana or Mountain forms, and Prismana Hexxin in particular cannot be obtained through evolution at all.

Getting Prismana Hexxin during a Prismana Flow

Prismana Hexxin is No. 21C, a separate Aniilog entry with the same Dark/Grass Regen kit and the same 542 stat total. It only spawns in the woods northwest of The Mistwoods, and only while a Prismana Flow event is running in that zone, under Aurora weather. The catch rate stays at 28%.

The practical difference is in your Homeland. Prismana Hexxin brings Artisanship Lv. 4, Dark Lv. 4 and Grass Lv. 3, against the Basic Form’s Artisanship Lv. 2, Dark Lv. 2 and Grass Lv. 1. If you plan to park a Hexxin on crafting and harvesting duty, the Prismana version does noticeably more work. Collecting a Prismana Form Aniimo also clears one of Hexxin’s research goals, worth 20 points and a Fashion Assistant x3 payout.

How to confirm you have Hexxin

A successful throw registers the creature in your Aniilog as No. 021 Hexxin, tagged Dark/Grass, Regen role, Nova stage. Catch the Mountain or Prismana variant and you get a separate entry instead — No. 21B or No. 21C — each with its own artwork, so the Aniilog itself tells you which form landed.

On the evolution route, the change is immediate and visible: the Hummin in your party becomes Hexxin, the stage label switches from Lumin to Nova, and the elements update to Dark/Grass. Check the base stats to be sure, since Hexxin should read HP 115, ATK 88, BREAK 50, P.DEF 84, M.DEF 90 and REGEN 115, for a total of 542.

Once it is yours, the trait does the talking. Prank arms itself every 18 seconds and applies Curse for 10 seconds to whatever your next skill hits, and Dark basic attacks then restore EP against Cursed targets. Euphoric Sonic Blast costs nothing and restores 10 Energy on its own, which is why Hexxin tends to end up next to a Dark DPS rather than in a mixed squad.
