HUSH Zombie Extraction: How to Use Gun Parts and Level Up PINS

Swap spare receivers and magazine bodies with PINS for +0.5 REP each, and unlock bigger guns on the way to Level 4.

Swap spare receivers and magazine bodies with PINS for +0.5 REP each, and unlock bigger guns on the way to Level 4.

In HUSH Zombie Extraction, the receivers, stocks, magazine bodies, and barrel liners piling up in your stash are reputation with PINS, the weapon trader. PINS crafts guns, strips them back into parts, and trades three spare parts for one part you want. Each of those actions adds reputation, and reputation unlocks better guns. The trader’s own line on the screen is “Cash jams. Gold does not. Bring me the parts.” Expect to pay in gold.

Quick answer: Open Traders, then PINS, then Services, then SWAP PARTS. Pick a target part, slot three eligible spares, pay one gold item such as a Gold Chain, and confirm. Each swap gives +0.5 REP.

PINS reputation sources and level requirements

PINS reputation comes from three places. The trader menu lists the formula directly, and swaps sit at the bottom of the scale per action. They are also the only source you can repeat on demand without going into a raid.

ActionREP gainedWhere
Completing a task+3 (some give +6 or +7)TASKS tab
Crafting a gun+1.5 to +4 per gunCRAFT tab
Swapping parts+0.5 per swapSERVICES, then SWAP PARTS

More tasks open as PINS levels up. At Level 1, the task list includes RANGE TIME, PROOF OF WORK, CLEAN SHOTS, PAYMENT IN KIND, HARD STEEL, QUIET HANDS, and THE LAST FIGHTING LAST, with some of them still locked.

Reputation alone does not level the trader. Reaching PINS Level 2 takes 100 REP plus 3 extractions, and the progress panel tracks both. It shows your current total, such as 80/100, next to an extracts counter that starts at 0/3. A pile of swaps can max out the reputation bar, but you still have to survive three raids before Level 2 opens.

How to swap gun parts with PINS

Check your stash for duplicates before you start. Spare receivers and magazine bodies from guns you don’t plan to build make the best swap material. You give up three parts and get one back, so you should only feed in parts you don’t need.

From the main menu, open the Traders tab and select PINS. The trader screen shows your PINS level, your reputation progress, and three tabs: CRAFT, SERVICES, and TASKS.

Open the SERVICES tab and choose SWAP PARTS. The other service here, STRIP A GUN, breaks a finished weapon down into its parts. That is how you turn an unwanted gun into new swap material.
Click the part you want to receive in the swap grid. Only parts in tiers you have unlocked can be selected. At Level 1, that means TIER 1.
Slot three eligible parts from your stash. The parts don’t have to come from the same gun. One working swap for an AP-7 Receiver used an HD-45 Magazine Body, an AS-12 Magazine Body, and an HR-76 Receiver.

Pick a payment on the right-hand panel. The listed options are Gold Chain x1, a Gold Bar, or a Gold Coin Collection, and you need one of them in your stash.
Press the yellow SWAP button. When the SWAP THESE PARTS? prompt lists what you GIVE and what you RECEIVE, check it and confirm.

You’ll know the swap worked when the new part appears in your stash and the reputation bar moves up by half a point, for example from 80/100 to 80.5/100. The three parts you gave and the gold item disappear from your stash.

PINS weapon unlocks by trader level

The CRAFT tab lists every gun PINS can build, along with the trader level each one needs. To craft a gun, you have to hold all of its parts. The heaviest weapons sit behind Level 4.

PINS levelCraftable weapons
Unlocked from startAP-7 Auto Pistol
LV 1AS-12 Semi Shotgun, DK-12 Machine Pistol, HD-45 Pistol
LV 2HR-76 Rifle, VR-5 Carbine
LV 3AB-5 Bullpup, DR-12 Drum Shotgun, LW-308 Long Rifle, RM-5 Squad MG
LV 4GM-30 Machine Gun, HV-7 Heavy MG, LM-5 Light MG, TR-9 Heavy Sniper

Open any recipe to see the exact parts it needs. Crafting pays more reputation than swapping, with +1.5 to +4 per gun, so a completed recipe moves the bar much faster than a single trade.

Swap parts follow a similar ladder. The SWAP PARTS screen has four tabs, TIER 1 through TIER 4. Higher tiers carry components for the top guns, such as TR-9, HV-7, and LM-5 parts, and they unlock as PINS gains levels. Below the tier tabs, the same screen shows how much reputation you still need for the next level.

Buying swap parts and gold on the Blackmarket

If your stash runs dry, the Blackmarket sells both swap material and payment items. You can search by weapon name and sort by lowest price. This lets you farm swap reputation without bringing gear into a raid. Listed prices change with the market, so treat these as snapshots.

ItemLowest listing seenUse
Gold Coin Collection$13,355Swap payment
Match Barrel Blank$16,430Part
Gold Bar$17,010Swap payment
HD-45 Stock Assembly$19,000Swap material
AP-7 Receiver$97,562Swap target
Barrel Liner$120,000Part
TR-9 Heavy Sniper$2,793,285Finished gun

Cheap parts such as HD-45, HR-76, and AS-12 components, including magazine bodies, tend to list around $15,000 to $20,000. Compare that with the AP-7 Receiver at nearly $100,000. Three cheap parts plus a Gold Coin Collection usually cost less than buying the receiver outright, and the swap also pays +0.5 REP.

Before buying gold, check your stash storage. Gold Bars and Gold Coin Collections from earlier raids often sit there unused, and each one pays for a swap.

The loop is simple. Strip guns you won’t use, trade three spare parts for one part you need, and pay in gold. Then make the three extractions that the reputation bar alone can’t cover. Once PINS reaches Level 4 and you hold every part, you can craft the HV-7 Heavy MG, the LM-5 Light MG, or the TR-9 Heavy Sniper.
