Parts of Hajin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ are nearly pitch black. The underground parking and corridors of NuriGO Mall are the obvious example. Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) fix that, and there are two ways to get them covered here. You can pick up a weak pair outside NuriGO Mall, or you can print a standard pair at your FOB. Other places NVGs drop are not covered below.

Quick answer: Grab Weak Night Vision Goggles from the marked military tent outside NuriGO Mall during Operation Shopping Hacks. You can also unlock the Night Vision Goggles recipe from CH. UNDERGROUND and print it for Metals 50, Printed Circuit Board 3 and Control Unit 10.

Weak Night Vision Goggles at the NuriGO Mall encampment

Outside NuriGO Mall, an area rated THREAT: MEDIUM, soldiers have set up a camp with tents and shops. One military tent contains a pair of Weak Night Vision Goggles, and the Operation Shopping Hacks story mission leads you to it.

Travel to NuriGO Mall with Operation Shopping Hacks active. Head for the encampment of tents set up outside the building.
Clear out the soldiers around the tents. Once the area is safe, follow the star marker labelled “PICK UP NVGS” into the tent it points at.

Inside the tent, find the goggles on the shelf next to the bunk beds and pick up Weak Night Vision Goggles. The hint “EQUIP NVGS IN THE BACKPACK” appears, which confirms they are now in your backpack.
Before heading out, check the military bag resting on a lower bunk inside that tent.

The weak goggles will do the job for this mission. Shopping Hacks takes place in NuriGO Mall’s dark underground parking area and corridors. Enter using the parking ramp labeled ENTRANCE 36.

Night Vision Goggles recipe at the FOB 3D Printer

Printing gives you a pair you can make again whenever you have the parts. Night Vision Goggles are a Rare gear recipe. They stay locked until you finish the CH. UNDERGROUND chapter of DMZ Orders. That chapter’s rewards include the Night Vision Goggles recipe, along with the DDOS and Decoy Grenade recipes, cash, a Basic Restock Kit and an Operator Rescue Beacon.

From the FOB, access the 3D PRINTER and choose GEAR. In order, the entries are WEAK NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, followed by GAS MASK, then DISPOSABLE PARACHUTE, then NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, then DURABLE GAS MASK, then ELITE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, and finally PARACHUTE.
Select the NIGHT VISION GOGGLES card. It is listed as RARE GEAR with the description “Night vision goggles that allow sight in near total darkness. Users can toggle between normal vision and night vision.” If you haven’t unlocked the recipe yet, the card reads “Complete DMZ Orders to unlock“.

Equip NVGs from the quick-use wheel

NVGs go in your backpack until you need them. When you reach a dark area, open the quick-use wheel and pick the slot labelled “EQUIP NVG”. Once they are on, dark rooms switch to a green night-vision view.

Remove the goggles when you go back outside. In daylight, their green view obscures the sky and buildings.

The item description confirms that you can switch between normal vision and night vision.
