Cat Battles is a Roblox brawler where you shove, punch, and grapple other cats until only one is left in the arena. Effects are what that chaos looks like. There are confetti bursts when you win, birds circling a knocked-out opponent, and blossoms trailing behind you as you run. None of them change how a fight plays out. They are purely cosmetic, and the game has 19 of them.
Quick answer: Cat Battles has 19 Effects. Five are free, 11 cost coins (200 to 12,000), and three Mythics come only from limited Robux bundles. You can equip two at a time.

Cat Battles Effect rules and slots
Effects sit in their own tab in your Inventory, apart from abilities and furs. A few rules apply to all of them:
- You can equip two Effects at once going into a fight.
- Effects are visual only and give no competitive advantage.
- There is no cap on purchases, so you can own as many as you like.
- Rarity follows price: Common is cheapest, then Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic.
- Each Effect belongs to one type: Win, Knockout, Kill, Hit, Footsteps, Trail, or Finisher.
The type tells you when the Effect fires. Win Effects play when you’re the last cat standing. Knockout Effects show up on a KO’d cat. Kill Effects mark the spot where an opponent was eliminated. Hit Effects appear on each strike. Footsteps and Trail Effects follow you around the map.

| Dizzy Stars | Knockout | Stars spin around a KO’d cat |
| Dust Puffs | Footsteps | Small dust puffs as you move |
| Poof | Kill | Smoke puff where a cat went out |
| Sparks | Hit | Sparks on every hit |

How to buy Effects with coins
Every coin Effect is bought from the Inventory. The Store is only for the bundle-exclusive ones.
Once you own it, the Effect can go into one of your two slots before your next fight.

Mythic Effects from Robux bundles
The three Mythic Effects can’t be bought with coins. Each one is part of a limited bundle sold for Robux in the Store.
| Effect | Type | Bundle | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Close Encounter | Finisher | Fairy Bundle | In the Store |
| Rainbow Burst | Win | Hyper Rainbow Bundle | Out of stock |
| Rainbow Trail | Trail | Hyper Rainbow Bundle | Out of stock |
Close Encounter is the only Finisher in the game. Its in-game tagline is “Take me to your leader.” It comes in the Fairy Bundle, which costs 199 Robux and includes more than the Effect:
- Shark Attack (Mythic Ability)
- Fairy Queen (Mythic Fur)
- Close Encounter (Mythic Finisher)
- 500 coins
Rainbow Burst plays a multicolored win celebration, and Rainbow Trail leaves every color behind you as you move. Both are tied to the Hyper Rainbow Bundle, which is currently sold out. The developers could restock it, but no return date has been announced.
Both bundles are limited-time offers. If you want Close Encounter, buy the Fairy Bundle while it is still in the Store.
New Effects can arrive with future updates, so the 19 listed here are the current set rather than a final one. For now, the free starters fill both slots, coins cover nearly everything else, and only three Mythics require Robux.
