Akane Rin is a 5-star (S-Rank) Lakshana Main DPS in Neverness to Everness. She fights at range with an electric guitar and the Feathered Sound Blade. Her banner opened on October 21, 2026, in the second phase of Version 1.4, and she uses Liquid Arcs. Her build is simple once you see how her kit works. Almost every stat you give her should go toward critical hits, Lakshana damage, or ATK, and she should stay on the field as long as possible.
Quick answer: Equip Far Side of the Moon (or Fluff of Fleetness), the 4-piece Street Boxer cartridge with four Type III modules, Lakshana DMG% main stats, and CRIT substats. Level Rhythm Wave first.

Everything starts with Rhythm Wave, her Redirect Skill. If you tap it, she marks one enemy with Overtone for 25 seconds. If you hold it, she places a Reverb Field for 25 seconds. While either one is active, her Basic Attacks are relayed to the target. Overtone sends them over long range to a single enemy. Reverb Field hits every enemy inside the field. In both cases the relayed attacks deal extra damage. Only one form can exist at a time, and both share a cooldown.
Stringblade, her four-stage Basic Attack, builds String Energy up to a cap of 30. At 30, with a form active, she can cast Synced Resonance. This big hit has no cooldown of its own. It only spends the energy if it connects, and it does not refresh the form’s timer. At skill level 10, the Overtone version deals a 1999% damage ratio to one target and the Reverb Field version deals 1599.2% as AoE.
Sonic Boom, her Ultimate, has two stages. The opening stage puts her into Solo Cadenza. During the second half of that state, press the Ultimate again to unleash a much larger follow-up hit that deals 1999% at level 10. Without this second press, the follow-up never activates. Her Starlit Anthem passive grants 20% ATK for 20 seconds after Sonic Boom. Perfect Pitch is the passive that makes Street Boxer so powerful on her. Once the team has triggered Remora, she reapplies it every 3 seconds to the Overtone target and each enemy within the Reverb Field, until she leaves combat.

Best Arcs for Akane Rin
| Arc | Rank | Base ATK | Substat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Far Side of the Moon | S (signature) | 570 | CRIT DMG 48% |
| Fluff of Fleetness | S (Battle Pass) | 512 | CRIT DMG 44% |
| The Last Rose | S | 570 | CRIT Rate 24% |
| The Wrong Gate | S | 570 | ATK 30% |
| Youthful Fantasy | S (free) | 570 | ATK 30% |
| Shiny Days | A (free) | 475 | ATK 25% |
Far Side of the Moon is her best-in-slot Arc because its Gravitide effect matches her rotation. It gives flat CRIT Rate on top of its CRIT DMG substat. Her Basic Attacks build up Redirect Skill DMG to a total of 28%. Casting Rhythm Wave then raises her Basic Attack DMG by 28% for 15 seconds, and she gets extra Lakshana DMG while both bonuses are active. At refinement 1, the CRIT Rate is listed at 15% or 16% and the Lakshana bonus at 16% or 20%, depending on the in-game text you check. Treat the lower values as the floor.
Fluff of Fleetness is the best option most players can get, since it comes from the Battle Pass. Its Motor Candy effect adds 5% ATK every second while she is the active character, up to five stacks for 25%. The stacks reset when she swaps out. That rarely matters for a Main DPS who stays on the field. It has no CRIT Rate, so your modules have to make up for that.
The Last Rose can match Fluff of Fleetness in raw damage. Casting Rhythm Wave gives her all 10 Chaos Thorn stacks at once, for 60% CRIT DMG. Each stack only lasts 3 seconds, though. It is also Lacrimosa’s signature Arc and is worth more on her, so only use it if Lacrimosa doesn’t need it.
The Wrong Gate works as a pure ATK option, with ATK in both its substat and its 16% effect. Its team-wide damage bonus requires healing, and Akane Rin has no heal, so that part never activates.
Youthful Fantasy is a free stat stick. Its high ATK and Break Intensity still help her. Its Chaos DMG bonus does nothing for a Lakshana character, and its Black Tome summon is only slightly useful. Shiny Days is the free A-Rank version of the same idea. It adds 10% DMG against Broken enemies.

Street Boxer cartridge and module layout
| Cartridge | 2-piece | 4-piece |
|---|---|---|
| Street Boxer | Lakshana DMG +10% | Crit Chance +14%, extra +14% for 20s after Remora or Stain |
| Shadow Creed | ATK +10% | ATK +25% for 20s after casting a Skill |
Street Boxer is the standard set for Lakshana DPS characters, and it fits Akane Rin especially well. Perfect Pitch keeps reapplying Remora once the team has triggered it a single time. That means the extra 14% Crit Chance stays active for nearly the whole fight. Shadow Creed is a reasonable stopgap while you farm. She uses Rhythm Wave often enough to keep its ATK buff running, but it lacks Street Boxer’s Lakshana and CRIT bonuses.
Her console bonus adds 10% ATK for every Type III module equipped. The usual layout is one Type II, two Type III, and one Type IV module to complete the Street Boxer set. Any remaining slots go to Type III pieces, such as the 3-cell L-shaped and straight modules. Four Type III modules give a total of +40% ATK.

Akane Rin stat priority
Lakshana DMG% is the best default main stat for your modules. Street Boxer and her top Arcs already give her a lot of CRIT Rate, so element damage adds more than another CRIT stat would. The exception is when you use an Arc without CRIT Rate, like Fluff of Fleetness. If your CRIT Rate is clearly low there, use CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG main stats until it is comfortable.
- CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG: highest priority substats
- Universal DMG%: next best, boosts every hit in her kit
- ATK%: about as useful as Universal DMG%, since the console already stacks ATK
- Cycle Intensity: a usable extra roll
- Flat ATK: lowest value
Skill upgrade and Awakening priority
Level Rhythm Wave first. It sets the multipliers for both versions of Synced Resonance. The extra damage from Perfect Pitch also counts as Redirect Skill DMG. Stringblade comes next, because it builds String Energy and every relayed hit uses its multipliers. Sonic Boom hits about as hard as Synced Resonance, but you can’t cast it nearly as often, so it comes third. Altered Chord, her Support Skill, deals little damage and comes last.
| Awakening | Effect |
|---|---|
| A2 Capo On | Overtone and Reverb Field targets get −12% Lakshana RES |
| A5 Rehearsal Click | Relayed Basic Attack bonus: 40%→64% (Overtone), 60%→90% (Reverb Field) |
| A3 Shade Capsules | Overtone cast +1,000% multiplier; Reverb Field 30% larger and pulls enemies |
| A4 Headphone Static | CRIT DMG +30% for 15s after Synced Resonance |
| A6 Front-Row Supernova | Starlit Anthem adds 16% DEF ignore |
| A1 After-School Tabs | Synced Resonance heals and grants DEF and interruption resistance |
If you have duplicate copies, pick A2, A5, and A3 first, in that order. Awakenings can be swapped at any time, so you can adjust them for a specific fight.

Best Akane Rin teams in Version 1.4
Her teams are built around two reactions. Stain comes from Psyche plus Lakshana, and Remora comes from Lakshana plus Cosmos. Either one keeps Street Boxer’s bonus active. Akane Rin always takes the on-field slot.
| Team | Teammates | Flex option |
|---|---|---|
| Stain and Remora | Blackbird, Zero, Iroi | Sakiri for Iroi |
| Accessible Remora | Zero, Fadia, Haniel | Sakiri for Haniel |
| Haniel buff | Haniel, Zero, Iroi | — |
| Double Lakshana | Hathor, Blackbird, Iroi | — |
| Sakiri team | Sakiri, Blackbird, Linko | — |
| Cosmos pair | Zero, Shinku, Iroi | — |
| Hotori core | Hotori, Haniel, Iroi | — |
In Version 1.4, her strongest team is Blackbird, Zero, and Iroi. Blackbird adds coordinated damage from off the field and applies Stain. Stain increases the Psyche and Lakshana damage enemies take, and Blackbird does all of this without taking field time from Akane. Zero keeps the Esper Cycles turning and gives her steady access to Remora and Charge, which also feeds her extra Ultimate Energy. Iroi brings healing and offensive support. Sakiri can replace her for higher ATK buffs and enemy grouping, which is very useful in Reverb Field fights against groups of enemies.
If you don’t have Blackbird, use Zero, Fadia, and Haniel. Zero handles Remora, Fadia adds Psyche for Stain and some safety during Akane’s long attack strings, and Haniel provides a simple damage buff. Once Remora triggers in either team, Perfect Pitch keeps it applied on its own, and the Street Boxer bonus should stay active for the rest of the encounter.
