Enshrouded 1.0 contains 126 item sets divided among 20 categories. A set is finished when you’ve acquired each item in it at least once. The game then displays “Item Set Completed” and awards XP once. Completing every set grants 48,925 XP in total; the other XP sources are covered in how to level up fast. The Cinder’s Cradle Unique Equipment set gives the largest individual reward, 2,200 XP, while Enemy Trophies leads the categories with 17,500 XP.
Quick answer: Obtain every item in a set at least once. When “Item Set Completed” appears, the set’s XP has been paid, and each set pays only once.
How item sets work
The game checks whether each item in a set is known to your character. You do not need to hold all the items at the same time. Each one only has to have passed through your hands once. When the last missing item registers, “Item Set Completed” pops up and the XP is added. You cannot earn that reward again.
Six categories use one set per region, and they all follow the same XP ladder. These are Building Blocks, Terrain Materials, Color Palettes, Uncooked Food And Herbs, Cooked Foods And Dishes and Weapon Gems. Springlands pays 50 XP, Revelwood 75, Nomad Highlands 100, Kindlewastes 125, Albaneve Summits 150, Veilwater Basin 175 and Cinder’s Cradle 200. That adds up to 875 XP for each of these categories.
Clothes collections are arranged by region, and each set’s XP matches its region’s value, starting at 50 in Springlands and reaching 200 in Cinder’s Cradle. The two Miscellaneous clothes sets award 150 XP apiece.
Unique Equipment has one set per region: Springlands 500 XP, Revelwood 600, Nomad Highlands 700, Kindlewastes 800, Albaneve Summits 900, Veilwater Basin 1,000 and Cinder’s Cradle 2,200. The Cinder’s Cradle set needs the Electric Initialiser, Proto Matter-Bender, Darya’s Remorse, Spearfisher Bow and Breaching Bow, and no other set in the game pays more. Every piece and its spot is in where to find every unique weapon and ring, and every Collections piece in all collectible locations. The five Music sets and where each instrument is: all music instruments.
Enemy Trophies leads all categories, with 20 sets—one for each boss or formidable enemy. Each set calls for four trophies: the standard one, plus Bronze, Iron and Gold versions. Most sets award 500 XP. Hollow Cyclops, Hollow Titan and Hollow Wispwyvern sets pay 1,000 XP, while Fell Wispwyvern, Fell Dragon Youngling, Ancient S.P.D.R. Construct and Vorgoth’s Eye sets pay 2,000 XP. Trophies are Hunter recipes, and the category awards 17,500 XP altogether. The Coloring Station has 73 palettes, and they form one Color Palettes set per region. Twenty-three of them do not appear as recipes at the start. You have to find each of those once in the world before you can craft it. Three of them are always in the same chests:
