Coffee Beans grow on coffee trees in the Veilwater Basin. You roast them in a Coffee Drum Roaster, grind them in the Mill, then brew them in a Coffee Brewery. Each drink adds stamina and boosts damage: melee, magic, or ranged and dagger damage.

Where to find Coffee Beans
Coffee Beans are a common material that stacks to 250. You harvest them from coffee trees, and the item’s own hint sends you to the Veilwater Basin. The item description makes it clear they aren’t ready to drink as they are: “These raw coffee beans must be roasted and ground before unfolding the depths of their flavor!”
The map has 42 coffee spots, and all of them are in the Veilwater Basin. Drak’Dal Temple has the largest cluster with nine spots, and Queen Jezmina’s Camp is next with five. You’ll find the rest around these places:
- The region’s farms: Fish Farm, Dewdrop Farm, Fishing Island, Capybara Oasis and Yearfall’s Brew Farm
- Cargo Lift, Cromville and the Lighthouse
- Orville, Driftwood Wake and the Miner’s House
The interactive map has a Coffee Beans layer that marks these spots. The quest journal also calls Stillwater Bay “a town with a large harbor and nearby coffee plantations”. That’s useful to know, because you need to go to Stillwater Bay for the coffee machines anyway.

How to get the Coffee Drum Roaster and Coffee Brewery
The quest helps you find both machines in Stillwater Bay. The Barber, Elio, gives it to you. The journal entry reads “The Barber Elio needs to soothe his coffee addiction and has asked you for help.”
After that, the Farmer can craft more of both machines for you. Each one needs a shelter.

The Roaster is described as “A machine that’s used to roast coffee beans. Necessary to make coffee.” The Brewery’s description reads “A handy machine that brews hot coffee. There is hope left in this world after all.”
How to unlock the Black Coffee, Latte and Sweet Mokka recipes
Each recipe note unlocks its drink at the Coffee Brewer. Finding a note mentioning a broken coffee machine starts the quest “The Alchemy Of Bean And Water”. Its journal entry reads: “If they roasted and brewed coffee here, their recipes must be around somewhere. Find the recipes, so you can recreate them on your own!”
Each of the three drink recipes has its own note, and collecting a note adds that drink to the Coffee Brewer. In Stillwater Bay, the Latte Recipe is beside the town’s map marker; the Black Coffee Recipe is roughly 80 m from there. Gathering all three notes completes the quest and awards 1 Black Coffee and 200 XP.
With the recipes learned, follow the chain in the table at the top. Roast the beans with Palm Wood Logs, grind them with Veilwater Basin Sand at the Mill, then brew them at the Coffee Brewer with Gold Coins and Water. The Latte also needs Milk and the Sweet Mokka also needs Sugar. Roasted Coffee Beans carry the description “A handful of roasted coffee beans. They smell chocolaty and rich, with a light note of floral sweetness. They must be ground up before brewing.”

All three are food-slot drinks with the same stamina gains, so the damage bonus is what separates them. Brew Black Coffee for melee builds, Latte for magic, and Sweet Mokka if you fight with bows or daggers.
Growing Coffee Beans at the Seedbed
To keep a supply on hand without returning to the Basin, grow coffee yourself. At the Seedbed, combine 1 Coffee Beans, 1 Fertilised Farm Soil and 1 Water; after 3 minutes, you get 5 Coffee Seedlings. Once mature, a seedling “can be harvested repeatedly”, so the plants keep producing beans for the Roaster.
