Probably Stolen title screen

Probably Stolen: Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim, from Questing Goose Studio and tinyBuild, has 21 Steam achievements, and none of them are hidden. Most come from three things: owning your store, making things with your machines, and building up counters that carry over from one run to the next.

Quick answer: Start a Rat Wrangler run and finish The Mentor’s tutorial for two quick unlocks. Then do a Rock Bottom run on Thin Margins or Red Ink, sell nothing stolen or contraband, and own the deed before day 50. Our store deed guide has the price on every difficulty, and the endings guide lists all 14 ways a run can end.

Fastest unlocks: We Have Rats!, First Steps, Lower Levels Special and Authorized

The Steam text for We Have Rats! mentions a hidden scenario, but that scenario is just the Rat Wrangler specialization, which carries the Advanced Start tag on the Specialization screen. Pick it and start the run.

The next achievement is First Steps. On Day 1, the Mentor is your first customer and puts Mentor’s Notes on the counter. Finish the tutorial he gives you to unlock it.

Lower Levels Special only asks you to change the label on any item with the labeler. Authorized asks you to buy the business permit. The vendor permit’s cost depends on difficulty, as the Difficulty screen shows. The costs are in the table in the next section.

Store deed, permit and wealth achievements

Keys to the Kingdom unlocks when you own the store. You can buy the deed outright or pay off the mortgage. On Day 1 on Mark Up, the Calendar reads “The current value of the property is 12000 Credits”. That price goes up a little each day until it hits a cap, so buying earlier costs less.

Price Gouge12,000500
Mark Up12,0001500
Thin Margins24,0002000
Red Ink36,0003000

Prodigious adds a deadline to the deed. You need to own it before day 50.

Comfortably Afloat and Swimming in Credits check your wealth when a new day starts. You need more than 10,000 credits for the first and more than 100,000 for the second. You can track this number as Estimated Total Wealth on the Status tab of the end-of-day panel. For scale, it reads 793 after Day 1 on Mark Up as an Apprentice.

Shiny works the same way, but for Store Attractiveness. The Nightly Report shows it as a bar from 0 to 1000, and it sits at 250 after Day 1. Start a day with that bar full and the achievement unlocks.

One run for six achievements: Rock Bottom, Clean Hands and the deed

Rock Bottom is tagged as Extreme Challenge Mode, and you start with nothing. Winning means owning the store. One run can unlock From Nothing, From Nothing, the Hard Way, Clean Hands, Keys to the Kingdom and Prodigious together, as long as it meets all of these conditions:

  • Start from Rock Bottom.
  • Play on Thin Margins or Red Ink.
  • Never sell a stolen or contraband item, at any point in the run.
  • Own the deed before day 50.

Keep in mind that the deed on Thin Margins and Red Ink costs two to three times the Mark Up price. That makes the day 50 limit the hardest part of the run.

Production achievements: Say My Name, Green Thumb, Cranked to Eleven, Industrious

For Say My Name, make a Lab Pure product in the Chem Finisher. The Chemist specialization starts with a Chem Finisher, so it is the most direct route.

For Green Thumb, harvest a Huge Nutrifruit from a hydroponic. The Hydroponic Farmer specialization starts with Nutrifruit seeds and Hydroponic Systems.

For Cranked to Eleven, fit a single machine with modules that add up to 250 or more Quality. For Industrious, own 10 machines at the same time when a day begins.

Counters that carry across runs: Snitches Get Riches, Aug Hunter, An Eye for Value

These three achievements count your progress across every run. You can earn them a little at a time over several runs.

Snitches Get Riches requires you to alert Security about 10 customers listed as Wanted. Press the alarm button beneath the counter to report them. With the Model Citizen starting perk, each report earns 50% more.

Officer Lun says an incorrect report will bring a fine, so report only customers listed as Wanted.

Aug Hunter requires you to shoot 10 Augs. Choosing the Aug Menace starting perk enables Augmented content right away and gives you 25% more credits per aug. Be careful: letting too many Augs escape ends the game.

An Eye for Value unlocks after 10 perfect appraisals.

Diplomatic and Jackpot

Diplomatic needs 200 reputation with any one of the six factions:

  • Lower Levels
  • Upper Levels
  • Security
  • Black Market
  • Revolution
  • Sector 13 Cartel

Three bonuses can boost your reputation gains: Price Gouge makes them 1.5 times larger, the Diplomatic starting perk adds 33% to reputation earned through trade, and Well Connected gives you +15 with every faction from the start.

Jackpot comes down to luck. Win 350 credits or more on a single scratch ticket and it unlocks.
