Blue Archive Chihiro: How Override Stuns Heavy Armor for 7.5 Seconds

A breakdown of Chihiro's piercing burst, her stun window, and where to recruit her in Blue Archive.

A breakdown of Chihiro’s piercing burst, her stun window, and where to recruit her in Blue Archive.

Chihiro is one of Blue Archive’s most reliable single-target hitters, and the reason comes down to a single button. Her EX skill, Override, lands a heavy piercing strike and locks down Heavy-armor enemies with a long stun. Against the right target, that combination lets her open and control fights that other attackers struggle to hold.

Quick answer: Chihiro is a piercing Special-class Attacker whose EX skill Override deals 257%–412% damage to one enemy and, if that enemy uses Heavy armor, stuns it for 5.7–7.5 seconds depending on skill level.

Who Chihiro is and where she fits

Kagami Chihiro is the deputy director of the hacker group Veritas at Millennium Science School. In combat she works as a back-line Attacker who does not use cover, firing an AR while positioned at range. Her damage is Piercing, her own armor type is Heavy, and she belongs to the Special combat class, which decides how she buffs and which teammates she stacks with.

Her terrain affinity matters when you build a team. She earns an S rating in Urban and a B in Indoor, but only a D Outdoor, so she performs best on Urban maps and should be avoided on Outdoor stages where her hit chance drops.

Override: the EX skill that carries her

Override costs 3 EX cost and deals damage to a single enemy. The important part is the conditional effect. When the target’s defense type is Heavy armor, the same cast also applies a stun. That turns Chihiro into both a burst attacker and a crowd-control unit against Heavy-armor bosses, where the stun window buys your team time to reposition or keep firing.

1257%5.7 seconds
2296%5.7 seconds
3335%6.6 seconds
4374%6.6 seconds
5412%7.5 seconds

Note: the stun only triggers on Heavy armor. Against Light armor, Special armor, or Elastic barriers, Override still deals its full piercing damage, but you get no lockdown. Plan her around Heavy-armor content when you want the crowd control, and treat her as a straight nuke everywhere else.

Into the backdoor: her passive attack debuff

Her Normal skill, Into the backdoor, runs on a timer without any input. Every 30 seconds it finds the enemy with the highest Attack and lowers that stat for 23 seconds. The reduction scales from 16.9% at level 1 up to roughly 32.2% at higher levels, so it doubles as a survivability tool for the whole squad by softening the hardest-hitting enemy on the field.

Max stats at T10 gear

With all three gear slots at T10, Chihiro’s kit leans into a single heavy shot rather than sustained fire. Her ammo count is 1/1, which fits the burst-then-reload rhythm of her AR.

How to get Chihiro

Chihiro is a standard-pool character, so she appears through general Archive Recruitment and on her own rate-up banners when they return. Both the Japanese and Global servers have run multiple Chihiro rate-up periods since her debut.

  • Archive Recruitment (standard pull pool)
  • Chihiro rate-up banners on both JP and Global servers
  • Raid Shop
  • Event Shop — On your mark @ Millennium and its rerun (50 Shards each)

If you already have her, the Shard sources let you keep raising her star level for stronger stats and a higher EX cap. Because that top-end 412% hit and 7.5-second stun only exist at EX level 5, investing skill materials into Override is where most of her power comes from once she is in your roster.
