How to Complete Big Wig in AC Black Flag Resynced and Dig Up the Beach Treasure

Big Wig is the fourth and final mission in Lucy Baldwin’s officer questline in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It sends Edward to a beach north of Havana, drops him into a fight alongside Lucy against the Barrister, and ends with a buried treasure dig that closes out her story.

How to unlock Big Wig

Big Wig becomes available only after you finish Plantain!, the third mission in Lucy’s line. Lucy Baldwin’s questline itself opens up once you complete the This Old Cove main quest, so you need to be past that point in the story before any of her missions appear on your Quest Log.

Once Plantain! is done, the quest marker points you to Havana in the Dry Tortuga region.

Big Wig walkthrough

Travel to the north side of Havana and wait for Lucy by the palm tree near the Harbormaster. She explains that her grandfather once kept a cabin north of town, which sets up the trip to the beach.

Follow the green quest marker and take the path northwest to reach the beach. The route leads directly to where the Barrister is waiting.

When you arrive, the Barrister and his henchmen are all in the same spot. You cannot pick them off quietly here because Lucy engages them in open combat as soon as you get close. Fight through the group and defeat every enemy.

With the Barrister and his men down, walk a short distance east along the beach and look for the spade sticking out of the sand. The dig spot sits between the trees and bushes. Interact with it, and Edward digs up the Baldwin treasure to hand over to Lucy.

Note: If the dig prompt does not appear, you likely have not moved far enough east or the Barrister’s henchmen are not all dead yet. The spade only becomes accessible after the fight ends.
