Rings sit in your character’s accessory slot in Palworld and change how the Pal fighting beside you performs. Most cut incoming damage from one element, while the higher-tier rings also raise the damage your partner Pal deals. A handful of utility rings skip elements entirely and adjust things like carrying capacity, dodge timing, or how fast Pals build trust.
Quick answer: Almost every ring schematic is buried in an Ancient Ruin somewhere on the Palpagos Islands. Fly to the coordinates listed below, pick up the schematic, then craft the ring at a workbench once you have the listed materials. Only the Ring of Mercy is different, since it unlocks from the Technology tree at level 18.
Elemental resistance rings (Lv. 3)
These nine rings each lower damage from a single element by Level 3. They share the same base recipe of Ingot x20, Bone x20, and Paldium Fragment x30, with one element-specific material added. Every schematic sits in an Ancient Ruin, so bring a flying mount to reach the scattered coordinates quickly.

Named Pal rings (Lv. 4 resistance plus damage boost)
These are the stronger versions. Each one cuts damage from one element by Level 4 and, at the same time, raises your partner Pal’s damage in a paired element by Level 4. They use Refined Ingot instead of Ingot and require Ancient Civilization Parts, so they are late-game crafts. All schematics are again found in Ancient Ruins.

Utility rings and where to unlock them
Four rings ignore elemental defense and instead change how you move, carry, or bond. The Ring of Mercy is the only one you do not dig out of a ruin, since it comes from the Technology tree.

The Ring of Mercy is the go-to for capturing, since it stops your own attacks from accidentally killing a Pal you want to catch. The Phantom Ring extends the invincibility window during dodges, which helps against fast-hitting bosses.
How to grab a schematic and craft the ring
If a ring never shows up in your crafting menu, you have not collected its schematic yet, since the recipe stays locked until you pick it up (or reach Technology Lv. 18 in the case of the Ring of Mercy). Once equipped, the resistance and damage effects apply to the Pal actively fighting alongside you, so keep the ring matched to whatever element you expect to face.
