Memento Mori is a map-based achievement tied to Thebes, one of the Convoy locations in Marvel Rivals. Unlike hero challenges that ask for kill streaks or ultimate multi-kills, this one only needs you to reach a single fixed spot and play an emote. The hard part is landing on the right map and finding the exact object.
Quick answer: Load a match on Thebes, walk up to Apocalypse’s Sarcophagus in the final outdoor section near the defending team’s spawn, and perform any emote. The achievement unlocks the moment the emote plays.
What you need before you start
Thebes only appears in Quick Match and Competitive. Since Competitive punishes wandering away from the fight, Quick Match is the safer place to chase this. The map you get in each round is picked at random, so you may need a few queues before Thebes comes up.
Right after the map launches on July 23, there is a temporary Quick Match (Thebes) playlist that drops you straight onto this location every time. It runs for five days. Once it ends, getting Thebes goes back to luck of the draw.

Where Apocalypse’s Sarcophagus is on Thebes
The Sarcophagus sits in front of one of the defending team’s spawn rooms, specifically the spawn near the very end of the map. It is placed just outside the room itself, so players on either team can reach it. This is the outdoor portion of Thebes, past the indoor section.
The simplest way to reach it is to play on the defending side and die once the convoy has moved past the first checkpoint. You can confirm you are defending when the “Stop the Faith-Harvesting Engine!” prompt shows in the upper-left corner. Dying at that stage sends you to the spawn right beside the Sarcophagus.
If you would rather stay alive, push toward the outdoor area at the end of the route. Near the doorway that connects the indoor section to the outdoors, look for an archway with a spawn room inside. Go through the archway and the Sarcophagus is sitting directly in front of that room.

If the emote does not count
Emote achievements can be finicky about position. If the first emote does not pop, perform a few more from slightly different spots around the Sarcophagus to make sure you are close enough. As long as you are next to the object on Thebes, one of them will register the completion.
Once Memento Mori is done, Thebes has more map challenges worth clearing in the same runs, including Flawed Ascension. Grouping these together while the map is in rotation saves you from queuing back into Thebes over and over.
