Quack Sprites are back in Fortnite, and you still can’t find them on the map. The five variants added to Chapter 7 Season 4 on October 15 with the v42.40 update don’t drop from Sprite Chests, Pumpkin Chests, rare chests, or Cheat Codes. They are Sprite Mastery rewards. You earn each one by mastering a set number of other Sprites during the Override season.
Quick answer: Master 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 Sprites to unlock Quack Jonesy, Quack Bush, Quack Adventure, Quack Spooky Dash, and Quack Klombo. Then claim them from the Mastery Reward tab in the Override menu.
All Quack Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4 and their mastery levels
The thresholds go up in steps of five. The last one, Quack Klombo, needs 60 mastered Sprites. That makes it the hardest of the five to earn and one of the rarest Sprites in the season.
| Quack Sprite | Mastery Reward Level | Base Sprite |
|---|---|---|
| Quack Jonesy Sprite | 40 | Jonesy |
| Quack Bush Sprite | 45 | Bush |
| Quack Adventure Sprite | 50 | Adventure |
| Quack Spooky Dash Sprite | 55 | Spooky Dash |
| Quack Klombo Sprite | 60 | Klombo |
The October 15 update brought the season’s total to 162 Sprites. The Quack set looks like the last group of variants Epic is adding before Override ends. You don’t have to find a Quack Sprite in a match or extract it. Once your mastered count reaches a threshold, the matching Quack Sprite shows up in the Mastery Reward tab of the Override menu. After you claim it, it appears in your Sprite Collection under its variant, and that’s how you know the unlock worked.

Add to Google Preferences →What counts as a mastered Sprite
The mastery count is the only number that matters here. A Sprite counts as mastered once it reaches Level 5 and you extract it before the match ends. Each Sprite counts toward your total once. The rules are simple:
- The Sprite has to be Level 5 when you extract it.
- You can extract at an Extraction Site or with a Portable Extractor Gizmo.
- If you’re eliminated while holding the Sprite, it isn’t added to your collection and doesn’t count.
- Sprites level up from opening containers, getting eliminations, or both.
Quack Snacks came back in the Fortnitemares 2026 loot pool, and they speed things up. A Quack Snack raises the Sprite you’re carrying by one level. It moves the Sprite to the next level instead of adding a fixed amount of XP, so it’s worth the most right after a Sprite has just leveled up. If the Sprite is already close to its next level, most of the Snack is wasted.
Ranked and Competitive playlists get only part of the Fortnitemares vault and unvault changes. If Quack Snacks don’t show up there, standard Battle Royale uses the full loot pool.
Quack Sprite effect: 50 percent shared Sprite XP
Each Quack Sprite is a Special version of an existing Sprite. It retains its base Sprite’s ability and also receives the bonus common to all Quack Sprites. Wear one on your back, and the other Sprites in your inventory earn 50 percent of the Sprite XP you gain. The Quack Sprite you’re wearing earns XP too, but its progress is slightly slower. As a result, one Quack Sprite can help several companions reach Level 5 in a single match, moving you toward the next mastery threshold sooner.
The Quack Klombo tooltip shows how the two layers fit together. In the lobby, the card reads “SPECIAL LVL 3.” Its Quack trait says “Gives 50% Sprite XP earned to all other Sprites in your Inventory.” Klombo’s own ability is listed below that: “Grants random items at each level, only levels up by consuming items. Item quality increases with each Level Up!”

The Quack look also changes the model itself. If you drop Quack Klombo on the ground, it shows up as a bright purple-and-cyan crystal version of Klombo. That glow makes it easy to spot when a teammate drops one for you.

Quack Klombo in a Fortnitemares match
Carrying Quack Klombo changes how a normal match plays. Klombo only levels up by consuming items, so every looted building feeds it. Meanwhile, the Quack trait passes half of the XP you earn to whatever else is in your inventory. A typical run mixes Sprite farming with Fortnitemares quests. You might drop into Golden Grove for a location-visit stage and a pumpkin carving.

Looting matters even more than usual when Klombo is equipped. Every item it consumes moves it toward a level-up, and each level-up hands out a random item of higher quality than the last.

Moving around fast helps too. The Sonic Power Sneakers Mythic gives you Spin Dash and Spin Attack across both land and water. That makes it quick to travel between spots like Cluster Coast, Nightmare Neighborhood, and Tetris Tower. Tetris Tower’s summit chest can hold a 1-Up Token, which respawns you mid-air after an elimination and lets you keep your inventory. That protects any Sprites you haven’t extracted yet. Leftover Sprites, such as a Jackrabbit found along the way, can be extracted at a Sprite Dust Service Station for Sprite Dust and XP.

Getting a Quack Sprite from another player
There is one way around the mastery requirement. Sprites can be traded, so a player who already owns a Quack Sprite can drop it for you in a match. A Quack Sprite also drops when you eliminate a player who is carrying one. Either way, it only joins your collection after you extract it, just like any other Sprite picked up in a match.

A Quack Sprite you’ve added to your Sprite Collection can be recovered if you lose it during a match. Spend Sprite Dust to summon a banked Sprite again.
Quack Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 3 vs. Season 4
This is the second Quack Sprite set. The original group was introduced with the v41.30 update for Chapter 7 Season 3 on July 30, 2026, and was also linked to Sprite Mastery. That season concluded on August 19. Its four Quack Sprites had Elemental and Mythic bases, with lower thresholds.
| Season | Quack Sprites | Mastery range |
|---|---|---|
| Chapter 7 Season 3 | Water, Earth, Fire, Zero Point | 35 to 55 |
| Chapter 7 Season 4 (Override) | Jonesy, Bush, Adventure, Spooky Dash, Klombo | 40 to 60 |
The 50 percent shared XP effect is the same in both seasons. Override adds a fifth Sprite and raises the top threshold by five. The Quack Zero Point Sprite from Season 3 kept the Mythic Zero Point ability of creating a Shield Bubble Jr. whenever you heal. Season 4’s Quack Klombo follows the same pattern by keeping Klombo’s item-granting ability.
Time is short. Fortnitemares 2026 and the Override season conclude on October 31, a date that falls on November 1 in some time zones. You have about two weeks to master 60 Sprites. Equip each Quack Sprite as soon as you claim it so the remaining Sprites in your inventory gain extra XP, helping you reach the next threshold sooner.
