Anime Expeditions Update 2.5 Guide: Absolute Dream Content and Codes

Four new units, the Crimson Shore map, the Snowy Castle raid, and every working Absolute Dream code.

Four new units, the Crimson Shore map, the Snowy Castle raid, and every working Absolute Dream code.

Update 2.5, called Absolute Dream, is the biggest shake-up Anime Expeditions has had since the summer content drop. It brings four units, six equipment pieces, a new story map, a new raid, and a soul-farming mode that gates the new Falcon evolutions behind a fairly long grind. Here is everything the patch changed and the order that makes the most sense to tackle it in.

Quick answer: Redeem Eclipse, 250klikes, 8thCompany, and EvolutionsFix first, then take the Broken Falcon quest from the NPC in Crimson Shore Act 1 and farm 150 Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls in Eclipsed Infinite on School Grounds.

Everything Update 2.5 (Absolute Dream) adds

The patch is heavier on systems than cosmetics. Four units join the roster, six equipment pieces go into the Armory crafting pool, and two brand new areas open up alongside them.

Three of the four new units land at the top of the meta. 5th God Hand, Silver Falcon, and Iron Wolf (Struggler) all sit in S tier, though those placements are still early and will move as people test them properly. Eclipse Hunter (Savior) settles a step below in A tier.

UnitTierElement and damage type
5th God HandS (preliminary)Dark Psychic
Silver FalconS (preliminary)Light Magical
Iron Wolf (Struggler)S (preliminary)Dark Physical
Eclipse Hunter (Savior)ANeutral Psychic

5th God Hand is the standout. Every third regular attack drops a 10-second Distortion that briefly removes enemies from the map, stops their movement, and deals 50 percent of his current Damage. Survivors get hit with Mark of Fate and feed his 35-stack Fated Meter, which raises his own Damage and Range while making marked enemies take more damage from him.

Update 2.5 codes and how to redeem them

Four codes shipped with the update, and they hand out enough Trait Crystals and rerolls to get a new unit into usable shape before you touch the grind. Do these before anything else.

CodeReward
Eclipse25 Trait Crystals, 50 Equipment Rerolls
250klikes1,000 Sand Dollars, 25 Equipment Rerolls, 25 Trait Crystals
8thCompany50 Stat Rerolls, 25 Trait Crystals
EvolutionsFix25 Trait Crystals
Launch Anime Expeditions and wait until you are standing in the lobby. Nothing in the redemption flow works from a match, so finish or leave any run you are in first.

Click the three dots button in the top-left corner, then pick Redeem Codes. A text box opens in the middle of the screen.
Type or paste one code exactly as written and press Redeem Code. The rewards land in your inventory immediately, so check your Trait Crystal and reroll counts to confirm it worked. If a code fails, it is almost always a typo, an expired code, or an account level requirement you have not met yet.

Economist’s Coin and Sacrificial Mark: the two equipment pieces that matter

All six new equipment pieces are crafted at the Armory, but two of them change how runs actually play out. The Economist’s Coin is a utility item built around Yen economy. Its passive reads: “At the end of each wave, return 1% to 10% of Yen spent during that wave (Per Player. Does not stack).”

That range is the whole point. A coin rolled at 1 percent is nearly worthless, and one rolled near 10 percent quietly funds an extra placement or two every few waves. Craft it, equip it to a farm unit such as Stone Alchemist, then burn Equipment Rerolls on the passive until the percentage is high. Because it does not stack, there is no reason to run more than one per player.

The Sacrificial Mark goes the other direction and rewards status stacking. Its passive gives “+1% Damage. Increase damage by 1% (Max 10%) for each [Wither] or [Mark] applied in this unit.” Put it on something that applies Wither or Mark reliably, otherwise the bonus never climbs past its floor.

Crimson Shore and the Broken Falcon quest

Crimson Shore is the new story map, and it is where the update’s long-term chase begins. The Broken Falcon NPC stands in Act 1 and hands out the Redemption or Sacrifice quest, which asks for 150 Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls. Those souls only drop in Eclipsed Infinite, so accept the quest before you start farming or the progress will not count.

Act 1 also doubles as a solid resource farm. Set up an Auto Play preset, load in, and let it run in the background while you handle the more attention-heavy modes.

Further into the map, Act 5 runs under the Golden Hour event modifier and ends with the Abomination boss. Hard Mode is where the worthwhile drops sit, so bring a finished team rather than a farm loadout.

How Eclipsed Infinite works and how to farm souls

Eclipsed Infinite is entered through the School Grounds map, not from Crimson Shore, which trips up a lot of people who take the Falcon quest and then look for the mode in the wrong place. Head back to the hub and select School Grounds to find it.

The mode runs on a voting loop. Every five waves, players choose between Redemption, Sacrifice, and Neutral cards. Those votes fill a meter, and once it is full, a boss spawns. Killing that boss is what pays out Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls, and which soul type you get depends on the side the votes leaned toward.

Since the quest accepts either soul type, there is no wrong vote for progress alone. What matters is surviving deep enough to trigger multiple boss spawns per run, because 150 souls is not a one-session job. Clearing the quest is what unlocks the new Falcon unit evolutions.

Snowy Castle raid rewards and loadout notes

Snowy Castle is the new raid and runs across three acts. On Hard Mode it pays out Snowy Castle Totems, Trait Crystals, and assorted upgrade materials, which makes it the fastest route to the resources you need for rerolling new units.

Do not run the same team through all three acts. Enemy composition shifts between them, so swap units in the Units menu between acts rather than forcing one comp to cover everything.

Who Am I? and the other active events

Who Am I? is a guessing minigame that shows a shadowed unit alongside text clues. Name it correctly and you get Event Coins and equipment locks, which is a short, no-risk daily worth clearing before you queue into anything else. Lost Shipment and Golden Hour round out the current event rotation.

If you only have an hour, spend it in this order. Codes first, then the Broken Falcon quest so soul progress starts counting, then Eclipsed Infinite runs with a rerolled Economist’s Coin on your farm unit. Everything else in Absolute Dream can wait until you have the Falcon evolutions moving.
