Blox Fruits: How to Activate the Colosseum Statues Secret in Sea 1

Each statue only reacts to one damage type, so you need a sword, a fruit, a gun, and Combat equipped.

The Colosseum in Sea 1 hides a set of statues that stay inert until you hit each one with the exact thing it is holding. Nothing about it is random or timed. It is a loadout puzzle, and the only reason most players stall on it is that they are missing one of the four damage types the statues check for.

Quick answer: Hit the sword-holding statue with a sword, the gun-holding statue with a flintlock shot, the fist statue with basic Combat, and the fruit statue with a fruit attack. A statue counts as activated the moment its eyes light up.

What each Colosseum statue reacts to

The statues sit around the Colosseum grounds, and each one is signposted by what it holds. There are five of them in the area, and the object in a statue’s hands tells you exactly what has to land on it. Nothing else registers, so a sword swing on the gun statue does nothing at all.

Holding a gunA fired gun shotDual Flintlock

Holding a fruitA fruit abilityRocket

Before you walk over, get all four in your inventory. You need one sword, one gun, the Combat fighting style, and a fruit equipped. The Colosseum’s own quests are built for Lv. 250 to 300 characters, but the statues only care about the type of damage you deal, not your level or mastery.

If you do not own a fruit at all, the fruit shop sells several cheap ones outright for Robux. Rocket is the simplest option here because its basic attack is enough to trip the statue.

Activate the statues in order

Equip a sword and walk up to the statue holding a blade. Swing at it until its eyes light up. Any sword works, so a starter blade is fine if you do not have something like the Dark Blade.

Switch to a gun and find the statue holding a firearm. Aim at it and fire. A single connected shot from the Dual Flintlock is enough, and mastery level does not matter here.

Equip the Combat fighting style and punch the statue holding a shield and fist. Do not use a sword or a fruit move on this one. It only responds to a bare-handed Combat hit.

Equip a fruit and use one of its attacks on the statue holding a fruit. Rocket’s Missile Fist is the most reliable option because it is a straightforward directional attack that connects at close range.

Fix the fruit statue when it will not light up

The fruit statue is the one that trips people up. Some abilities simply do not register on it, even when the animation clearly hits the model, so you can burn energy on it repeatedly and get nothing back.

The fix is to stop cycling abilities on a fruit that is not working and swap to a basic fruit instead. Equip Rocket, open its move list, and use its primary attack, Missile Fist, directly on the statue. The eyes light up immediately once a move it accepts connects.

Note: hitting the wrong statue with the wrong type does not reset anything. Statues you have already lit stay lit while you sort out the remaining one.

How to confirm the secret is done

There is one visual check that matters. Walk the ring of statues and look at their faces. Glowing eyes mean that statue is registered; dull eyes mean whatever you hit it with was not the right type. Once every statue in the group is lit, the secret is complete.

The Colosseum statues are one of the Island Secrets added with the Sea 1 rework in Update 30. Sea 1’s 16 islands hold 40 secrets in total, covering hidden fights, puzzles, and quests, and each one you finish awards a star alongside rewards like EXP, money, Gems, and stat points. Collect all 40 stars and the Teleporter in Middletown unlocks.

One thing worth keeping straight: this has nothing to do with the Colosseum quest in the Second Sea, which involves Bartilo, Swan Pirates, and a symbol code beneath the arena in the Kingdom of Rose. Different sea, different island, different objective. The statues here start and end on the Sea 1 Colosseum, and all you need to carry in is a blade, a gun, a fruit, and your fists.
