Season 15, Hell’s Legacy, shook up the class balance again, and the builds that clear packs fastest are not always the ones that push the deepest Pit tiers. Speedfarming rewards a different set of strengths: constant movement, wide area damage, and enough single-target punch to drop tanky elites without stopping. The rankings below cover endgame builds tuned for lower Pit tiers, Helltides, Whispers, and Nightmare Dungeons.
Quick answer: For the fastest all-round farming right now, pick Whirlwind Barbarian, Cataclysm Druid, Death Trap Rogue, or Apocalypse Warlock. The full S-tier group and every lower tier are listed below.

How these builds were ranked
Placement rewards three things in order of importance: mobility to move between objectives, area damage to clear groups in one pass, and enough boss damage to avoid stalling on tanky targets. Survivability matters too, but a moderately geared character usually has enough of it for speed content. These placements reflect the live Season 15 meta on Patch 3.2.1.
Tiers shift with gear and Paragon boards. A build listed lower can still outperform its rank once fully optimized, and top builds still need decent gear before they feel effortless.

| Build | Class |
|---|---|
| Whirlwind | Barbarian |
| Rend | Barbarian |
| Leapquake | Barbarian |
| Mighty Throw | Barbarian |
| Death Trap | Rogue |
| Dash | Rogue |
| Cataclysm | Druid |
| Blood Wave | Necromancer |
| Bone Spirit | Necromancer |
| Apocalypse | Warlock |
| Wing Strikes | Paladin |
| Blessed Hammer | Paladin |
| Counterswarm | Spiritborn |
| Rake | Spiritborn |
Whirlwind Barbarian stays the benchmark for speed. You keep spinning while you move, so there is almost no downtime between packs, and the Immortal variant benefits from the doubled Melted Heart of Selig bonus this season. Even with core skill damage trimmed, its clear speed and reliability are hard to match.
Cataclysm Druid pairs permanent mobility with a wide Lightning Storm that blankets rooms. Its raw pushing damage was nerfed, but the movement and coverage make it one of the quickest builds for clearing dense content without slowing down.
Apocalypse Warlock remains a top damage build even after a heavy cut and Soul Splinter reductions. Its ceiling is so high that it still clears content fast, which is why it sits alongside the mobility-first picks. Counterswarm Spiritborn keeps its place through poison scaling that survives the Tzic rune correction thanks to compensation buffs, giving it both durability and clear speed.
Death Trap Rogue groups enemies and detonates them, which keeps runs tight and safe, while the Barbarian trio of Rend, Leapquake, and Mighty Throw all offer aggressive movement skills that double as clearing tools. On the Necromancer side, Blood Wave still delivers screen-wide waves, and Bone Spirit brings strong burst for the tankier targets you meet mid-run.

A-tier: strong with the right gear
These builds match S-tier for area damage and mobility, but they tend to be a little less consistent or need more gear investment before they hum.
| Build | Class |
|---|---|
| Lunging Strike, Flame Charge, Minion | Barbarian |
| Storm Strike, Landslide, Tornado, Lightning Storm | Druid |
| Minion, Blight, Blood Surge | Necromancer |
| Shield Charge, Divine Lance, Auradin, Zeal | Paladin |
| Dance of Knives, Flurry, Poison Barrage, Heartseeker | Rogue |
| Poison Penetrating Shot, Poison Rain of Arrows | Rogue |
| Grenade, Arrow Storm | Rogue |
| Ice Shards, Firewall, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, Ice Spikes | Sorcerer |
| Quill Volley, Crushing Hand, Stinger | Spiritborn |
| Touch of Death, Rock Splitter | Spiritborn |
Firewall Sorcerer is the standout here. Permanent Teleport access keeps you moving, and overlapping walls burn everything you pass. Its damage is not the highest in the game, but the pace makes it one of the most efficient farmers once the DoT scaling comes online. The poison Rogue variants also punch above their tier because damage-over-time builds tap into the season’s strongest Splinter multipliers.

B-tier: fine for low to mid tiers
These builds handle casual farming well but lose consistency in higher Nightmare Dungeons and Pit tiers. If you enjoy the playstyle and are not chasing the deepest content, they remain a fun choice.
| Build | Class |
|---|---|
| Hammer of the Ancients, Frenzy, Upheaval | Barbarian |
| Pulverize, Companion | Druid |
| Golem, Army of the Dead, Bone Spear, Blood Lance | Necromancer |
| Zenith | Paladin |
| Rapid Fire, Poison Twisting Blades | Rogue |
| Fireball, Frozen Orb, Meteor, Hydra | Sorcerer |
| Dread Claws, Lunatic, Tyrant’s Grasp | Warlock |
| Hell Fracture, Minion, Blazing Scream | Warlock |

C-tier: playable, not recommended for speed runs
These still work in low-tier endgame content, but their pace and consistency fall short for dedicated farming this season.
| Build | Class |
|---|---|
| Shield of Retribution | Paladin |
| Eviscerate | Warlock |
| Incinerate | Sorcerer |
Barbarians and Rogues carry the most depth across the S-tier group, but nearly every class has at least one build that keeps up in speed content once you gear it correctly. Start from the higher tiers if you want a smooth ride from the beginning, and revisit the list as balance changes land through Hell’s Legacy.
