After several beta tests, Apple has finally released the much-awaited iOS 11.4.1 update for supported iPhone and iPad devices.
The update brings no extra features but aims to fix some of the iOS 11.4 issues that many users have been facing since release. Below are the fixes Apple mentioned in the official changelog for iOS 11.4.1:
- Fixes an issue that prevented some users from viewing the last known location of their AirPods in Find My iPhone
- Improves reliability of syncing mail, contacts and notes with Exchange accounts
iOS 11.4.1 also brings security updates, but the information for that hasn’t been posted yet on Apple Security Updates page.
We don’t know if the iOS 11.4 battery drain problem has been fixed with the iOS 11.4.1 update. We’ll update you on this as we use our iPhone X on iOS 11.4.1 for the next 24 hours.
