Enshrouded 1.0: Copper Ore Location in the Revelwood

Mine reddish-brown ore clusters and clear the Scavenger mines, then smelt the haul into Copper Bars.

Mine reddish-brown ore clusters and clear the Scavenger mines, then smelt the haul into Copper Bars.

Copper Ore is mined from ore clusters in the Revelwood; it cannot be crafted, and no creature drops it. Its item text reads, “A common ore needed to create Copper Bars.”

Quick answer: Head to the Revelwood, spot the lumpy, rust-colored deposits on cliff sides and exposed rock, then mine them with a pickaxe. You’ll get Stone as well as Copper Ore from each cluster.

Where Copper Ore spawns in the Revelwood

Revelwood, the dark forest zone, is where Copper Ore can be extracted. Deposits cling to exposed stone and cliff walls among the trees. Their uneven, reddish-brown surfaces distinguish them from ordinary grey stone.

The Revelwood has two Scavenger copper mines, both shown on your map.

  • Mark of Sameth
  • Glimmer Rock Mine

How to mine Copper Ore

Select fast travel on the map and choose an Ancient Spire in Revelwood or an altar in that region.

Enter the woods on foot or by gliding, checking cliff sides and exposed rock for the reddish-brown clusters.
Equip your pickaxe and use the “Mine” action on the cluster to break it apart.

As the cluster breaks, the pickups show Copper Ore alongside some Stone, for example “Copper Ore +7”.

Turning Copper Ore into Copper Bars

Copper Ore is a raw material. To use it in most recipes you smelt it into Copper Bars, and you have two stations for that job.

Blast Furnace20 Coal + 20 Copper Ore20 Copper Bars

Build the Smelter at the Blacksmith with 1 Crucible and 50 Fired Bricks. The Blacksmith’s quest “Crucible Needed For A Smelter” sends you back to Revelwood, where Scavengers keep his former Crucible at their mine. Separate guides cover producing Charcoal in the Charcoal Kiln for the Smelter and finding Coal for the Blast Furnace.

What else needs Copper Ore

Beyond bars, raw Copper Ore feeds into a Flame Altar upgrade. Taking the altar from level 3 to level 4 costs 15 Copper Ore, together with 15 Goo, 15 Corrupted Boar Tusk, 10 Spark, 15 Indigo Plant, 15 Amber and 1 Fell Wispwyvern Head.

Once smelted, Copper Bars go into 69 recipes. The Copper Pickaxe at the Blacksmith takes 8 Copper Bars and 1 Hardwood, and the Laboratory needs 10 Copper Bars. For the other metals, see the Tin Ore and Iron Ore locations.
