The Final Fantasy Resonance Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99, $10 more than the $49.99 Standard Edition, and adds the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack: a Magitek Armor Key that turns your chocobo into magitek armor, the Archwitch’s Grimoire that unlocks the Fel Meteor Limit Burst, a Mastery Ring, and 23 consumables. It does not include early access. If you already own the Standard Edition, the same pack is sold on its own as the $14.99 Digital Deluxe Upgrade.

Square Enix released Final Fantasy Resonance on October 22nd, 2026. It is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and the Xbox app. There are four ways to buy it.

The Deluxe Edition costs the same $59.99 on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store. The Digital Deluxe Upgrade is $14.99 on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo eShop. The packaging differs slightly by store. Nintendo describes the Digital Deluxe Edition as the base game plus the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack, while Xbox sells it as the base game plus the Digital Deluxe Upgrade add-on. The content is identical either way. Store and regional prices may vary; the platforms guide covers every platform.

The Collector’s Edition is sold only through the Square Enix Store. It includes the following:

  • The physical Standard Edition, which ships alongside the goods box rather than inside it
  • A code for the Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade, delivered by email
  • A Collector’s Goods Box with an acrylic block set and a 120-page hardcover pixel art book
  • A 4-CD soundtrack with 120 tracks
  • A FINAL FANTASY TRADING CARD GAME promo card

The goods box was also sold separately for $150.00, but it is sold out.

None of the editions include early access. Every edition unlocks at the same release date and time on its platform.

What the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack adds.

Archwitch’s Grimoire is the pack’s exclusive item. The store pages call it “an item exclusive to this pack that unlocks a certain character’s Fel Meteor Limit Burst”. Fel Meteor reads “Deal Dark magic damage to all enemies.” The Archwitch is one of the party members who joins later in the story, so the Grimoire does nothing until she is in your party.

Magitek Armor Key is purely cosmetic. It only works once you have a chocobo, so check how to get a chocobo if you don’t have one yet. To change the chocobo’s look, open the main menu, go to Items, and switch the Magitek Armor Key to “ON”.

Mastery Ring speeds up your Vision Mastery Rank by boosting MRP earned in battle. The rest of the pack is standard healing and revival stock.

How to claim the Deluxe items

Your Deluxe items don’t appear in your inventory right away. Every store page gives the same instruction: “After progressing past a certain point in the game, you may claim the items from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra.” Mitra is Rain’s hometown, and you reach it early in Chapter 1. Bonus pack items are claimed from the same postbox.

Bonus packs and whether you can still get them

Two bonus packs are tied to when you buy the game, not which edition you buy. Neither pack is sold separately on any official store. You only get them with a purchase made during their window.

The two bonus packs and what each one contains.

Squire Kickstart Pack (early purchase bonus)

  • Blessed Cuirass x1 (light armor): “Increases gil obtained in battle by 20% (max 70).”
  • Mist Ether x1

Purchasing either the Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition by the relevant cutoff grants this pack. PlayStation and Nintendo set the deadline at November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time; Nintendo’s US listing specifies PST. Steam purchases remain eligible until November 6, 2026, at 8:59 a.m. PT.

Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack (pre-order bonus)

  • Magitek Airship Passkey x1: “After acquiring the Enterprise, grants the ability to change its appearance into that of a magitek airship.”
  • Knight’s Greatsword x1 (greatsword, Phys. Atk 30, Mag. Atk 14)
  • Chestplate of Preparation x1: “Increases EXP gained in battle by 20% (max 100).”
  • Magicite Shard x1, Tent x3, Mist Potion x3

For orders placed through the Square Enix Store before November 6, 2026, this pack and the Squire Kickstart Pack are included as an Early Bird Bonus, while supplies last.

The Deluxe Pack is sold separately as the Digital Deluxe Upgrade, so don’t buy it twice. Steam warns about this directly: “The content included in this bundle is also sold separately. Please be careful to avoid making duplicate purchases.”

Is the Final Fantasy Resonance Deluxe Edition worth it?

Compare the prices first: the Deluxe Edition is $10 above the Standard Edition, but the Digital Deluxe Upgrade costs $14.99 if purchased afterward. Choosing the Deluxe Edition from the start saves $4.99 if you want the pack.

Consider whether the pack’s contents are worth that $10: a chocobo cosmetic, an exclusive Limit Burst for a character who appears later, a Mastery Ring, and 23 consumables. At the in-game shop rates shown below, those consumables add up to 26,500 Gil.

ItemShop price (each)Quantity in pack
Tent300 Gil5
Mist Potion500 Gil5
Mist Ether2,500 Gil5
Phoenix Down200 Gil5
Remedy3,000 Gil3

The Mastery Ring isn’t the only way to increase MRP. Later on, a Mysidia Radar hidden treasure can yield the Mastery Pendant, whose effect is “Doubles MRP gained.” Store listings identify the Archwitch’s Grimoire and its Fel Meteor Limit Burst as the pack’s sole exclusive item.

The Deluxe Edition is worth it if you want the Archwitch’s extra Limit Burst or the magitek armor look for your chocobo. The consumables give you a head start early on, but you can buy all of them from the game’s own shops. If you only care about the story, the Standard Edition costs you nothing gameplay-critical, and you can still add the pack later for $14.99.
