FischFright 3, the 2026 Halloween event in Roblox’s Fisch, started on October 17th. It added a new event island called Caustic Hallow, and that island contains a hedge maze watched over by a giant Scarecrow. If you finish the Scarecrow’s quests, a trapdoor at its feet opens and drops you into a stone room underground. Players are calling it the secret vault. For now the room has no function. It is decorated, but there is nothing to interact with.

Scarecrow vault location in Fisch
The vault sits under the Scarecrow’s Maze, which is one of the areas on Caustic Hallow. Caustic Hallow is only open during the event, and you get there from the haunted ship at Moosewood. The entrance is a trapdoor right at the base of the giant Scarecrow. Players who haven’t done the quests will find the trapdoor closed. Once it opens, a ladder leads down into the chamber and back up into the maze.
What unlocks the vault trapdoor
There is one requirement: complete the series of quests the giant Scarecrow hands out inside the maze. They are short errands. One of them, for example, asks you to find a Straw Arm hidden in the maze at a spot where you have to jump, then bring it back to the Scarecrow. None of these quests involve fishing.
You know it worked when the Scarecrow shows this dialogue banner: “You’ve earned your way, The secret vault is open!” After that, the trapdoor at its base stays open and you can climb down.
Finishing the main FischFright 3 quest lines does not put anything in the vault. Players who have done everything currently in the event still find the room empty.
What is inside the secret vault right now
The vault is a single underground stone chamber. It looks deliberately built, which suggests it isn’t finished filler. Here’s what you’ll find in it:
- Jack-o’-lanterns lit with green light
- Candles placed around the room
- Stacks of wooden crates
- Spiderwebs hanging on the walls
- A circular raised platform
None of it does anything. You can’t open the crates, no NPC is standing on the platform, and the room has no shop menu or quest prompt. Right now the vault is a set piece.
What the Scarecrow vault is likely for
Nobody has confirmed what the room is for. The common theory is that a later FischFright 3 update will put something in it. That could be a new quest, an NPC, or a merchant with items you buy with Treats, the event currency. The event is expected to run for about three weeks, and Fisch usually releases updates on Saturdays, so there are a few update windows left during the event. No official end date for FischFright 3 has been announced, and no date has been set for vault content.
It’s also possible the room stays empty. Fisch has done this before. A secret bunker on Birch Cay stayed locked for months, and when it finally opened there were only a few Easter eggs inside. That room was originally planned as the place to enchant rods, and the idea was dropped. An empty room with good set dressing doesn’t guarantee that more is coming.
The Scarecrow quests are quick, and the trapdoor stays open once you’ve earned it. If anything does appear in the vault during the event, players who already unlocked it can walk straight in. Everyone else will have to work through the maze errands first.
