Grand Blue is an open-world pirate game on Roblox built by Eternal Pose, and your fastest early wins come from three things: grabbing free rerolls before you spawn, rolling a strong race and trait combo, and completing the one-time wizard quest to claim a free Cursed Fruit. Everything below moves you toward a working character and your first Devil Fruit as quickly as the game allows.
Quick answer: Redeem the active codes for free rerolls and a Fruit Chest, roll a top race and trait on the Customize Character screen, then find the wizard NPC in Anchor Town, dig up the four buried shells with your shovel, and turn the quest in to receive a free Cursed Fruit.
Redeem codes first for free rerolls and a Fruit Chest
Before you customize anything, redeem codes. Several give trait rerolls, race rerolls, and a Fruit Chest, which is a free head start on your first Devil Fruit. Enter them in the Codes box on the customization or settings screen.
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| 10KCCU | 2,000 Celestial Coins |
| WorldBossBroke | 1 World Boss Chest |
| SorryForBreakingGame! | 20 Trait Rerolls, 10 Race Rerolls |
| TwitterGoalReached | 1 Fruit Chest, 20 Trait Rerolls, 5 Race Rerolls |
| Release! | 10 Trait Rerolls, 5 Race Rerolls |
You can also collect extra rerolls from the Free Rewards button by liking, favoriting, and joining the game’s Roblox group. That adds 10 Trait Rerolls and 5 Race Rerolls on top of what the codes give you.

Your race and traits are passive bonuses that stay with your character, so spend rerolls until you land something strong. Races carry their own drop chances, and the rarest sit around 0.1%. The best targets are Celestial (Celestial Human), Half Fish, and Dwarf, with Skypiean and Skyfolk also worth keeping.

Traits fill three slots, and the top-tier mythic options are the ones to chase. Aim for Maniac, Man of Steel, Beast Tamer, Gaudy, or Limit Breaker. Lower-value traits like Athlete, Night Owl, or Garbage Collector are fine as placeholders, but reroll them once you have spare spins.

| Category | Best picks |
|---|---|
| Races | Celestial, Half Fish, Dwarf |
| Mythic traits | Maniac, Man of Steel, Beast Tamer, Gaudy, Limit Breaker |
Finish the tutorial and unlock Strong Punch
Once you spawn into Anchor Town, the first job is the basic combat tutorial. It teaches your core controls and hands you your first skill scroll.
Q, block with F, throw light attacks with M1, and interact with E.

Get a free Devil Fruit with the Wizard’s Apprentice quest
The fastest free Cursed Fruit in Grand Blue comes from a one-time quest in the starter town. You dig up four buried shells, turn them in, and open the reward chest for a fruit. The wizard NPC goes by different names in different builds (Wurridonowgogo, Almighty Calvin, Almighty Kelvin), but the quest is the same Wizard’s Apprentice task near the blacksmith.
Tip: Codes that award a Fruit Chest give you a second free roll on top of the quest reward, so redeem those before you open anything.
Other ways to farm Cursed Fruits
The wizard quest is one-time only, so once it is done you need repeatable sources for more fruits. There are three free routes to keep stocking Fruit Chests.
- Redeem codes that include Fruit Chests, which unlock via playtime quotas.
- Farm Celestial Coins through the Logbook Achievements tab or Treasure Maps, then buy Fruit Chests from the shop.
- Fight hourly World Bosses like Axe-Hand Morgan for free Celestial Coins and Fruit Chests.
Fruits can also spawn in trees around the world, so keep an eye out while you travel between islands. When choosing what to eat, Darkness and Flame sit at the top of the meta, while Chop is a reliable early pick.
Where to spend stat points
Your stats sit on a hexagon in the Character menu: Health, Strength, Willpower, Agility, Precision, and Energy. How you spread points depends on your build.

| Build | Priority stat |
|---|---|
| Fruit user | Energy |
| Melee fighter | Strength |
| Gun user | Precision |
| Survivability | Health |
Open the in-game Logbook after allocating points. It holds 11 chapters covering combat, controls, fighting styles, fruits, islands, and a full tutorial section, and completing achievements there pays out Celestial Coins and Gold.
Haki and the Willpower stat: what to know now
Haki is not obtainable in the current Early Access build. No ability unlocks, and there is no path to activate it yet. The Willpower stat description references Haki strength and reserves, which shows the system is designed, but it has not been switched on.
Because of that, do not stack Willpower expecting Haki to turn on. Points spent there give little to no current return beyond possible status protection. Keep Willpower low for now and pour points into Energy, Strength, or Precision depending on your build, then catch up on Willpower once Haki actually ships.
There is no confirmed date for the Haki update. Watch the game’s updates and the official Discord after patches for the activation.
With a strong race and trait rolled, Strong Punch equipped, and your first Cursed Fruit claimed, you have the fastest possible start in Grand Blue. From here, grind repeatable quests up toward level 30, then set sail from Anchor Town to Clown Town to keep the momentum going.
