Halloween: The Game: How to Complete Every Chapter 4 Challenge

Exact conditions and timing for all six Babysitters challenges, from Annie's car kill to matching the 1978 film's plot.

Exact conditions and timing for all six Babysitters challenges, from Annie’s car kill to matching the 1978 film’s plot.

Chapter 4, The Babysitters, ties most of its objectives to the Wallace House and the scripted scenes that play out inside it. The six challenges reward patience rather than speed, because Annie, Bob, Lynda, and Laurie each need to reach a specific moment before Michael interrupts them. Rushing a kill permanently locks you out of the matching challenge for that run.

Quick answer: Go straight to the Wallace House, let each scene reach its trigger window, and kill in this order: strangle Annie inside her car, fully stalk Bob and Lynda together, spend a Bloodthirsty execution on a spare resident, pin Bob to the kitchen wall, equip the Sheet and kill Lynda with the telephone, then stage the bodies and chase Laurie to satisfy the film’s plot.

Strangle Annie in the Car

Annie’s kill is timing-based, and the objective will offer her long before the challenge is ready. Do not grab her the first time you get close.

Begin stalking Annie once the objective appears and follow her routine. Wait for her to approach the car and then move inside the house through the kitchen.
Do not execute her while she is indoors. Let her finish that part of her routine and start heading back toward the car.
Shape Jump into the car just before she reaches it. When she opens the door and gets in, the strangle prompt appears and the kill counts. After she is dead, move her body upstairs when the chapter asks you to prepare the house.

Note: Hiding in the car too early leaves you waiting through an unpredictable stretch of her routine, and killing her anywhere but the car voids the challenge for that run.

Fully stalk Bob and Lynda in the living room

Bob and Lynda are only useful for this challenge while they are still together, so complete the stalk before either becomes a kill target. The moment you interrupt the scene, the untouched stalking window is gone for good.

Use the closet in their room as your hiding spot. You can enter it before they reach the living room, or slip in using Shape Jump if they notice you standing out in the open. Stay hidden and let the stalk meter climb to Tier 3 on both of them while they are making out. There is no benefit to attacking a few seconds early, since they are already exactly where the challenge wants them.

Kill a Resident with a Bloodthirsty execution

This is the one flexible challenge in the chapter, and it should not be spent on Annie, Bob, or Lynda. Each of those three is reserved for a specific kill condition, so using them here trades a fixed challenge for a generic one.

Find a side resident who has no scripted role, build your Bloodthirst meter to Level 3, then grab them. Hold the execution input and follow the prompts to perform the Bloodthirsty execution. Once it registers, return to the Wallace House sequence instead of hunting for more optional kills.

Pin Bob to the Wall in the kitchen

Once the stalking challenge is done, Bob becomes the next target. The challenge checks the specific wall interaction, not just any kill inside the kitchen.

Wait for Bob to finish with Lynda, then stalk him into the kitchen and build your meter to Level 3. Grab him and look for the contextual wall execution near the closet. A normal grab kill or a different environmental execution in the same room does not count. If the wall prompt is not available yet, keep Bob alive and reposition rather than spending him on the wrong finisher.

Kill Lynda with the telephone while wearing the Sheet

Lynda’s challenge combines three conditions at once, so the disguise has to go on before you deal with her. The Sheet only becomes available after Bob is dead.

After killing Bob, head upstairs and enter the room on the right. Collect Bob’s glasses along the way, then grab the Sheet from that room.
Equip the Sheet and keep it on. With the disguise active, Lynda will not recognize you, which lets you close in without breaking the scene.
Stalk Lynda until you reach Level 3, then use the telephone execution without swapping out of the disguise. The kill counts only if the Sheet, the telephone, and Lynda all line up in the same sequence.

Complete the chapter matching the film’s plot

This challenge asks you to recreate the events of the 1978 John Carpenter film, and it survives only if the earlier scenes stay in order. Treat it as a chain rather than a checklist, since a broken scene cannot be repaired later in the same attempt.

  • Attack the dog first so Annie becomes worried.
  • Lock Annie in the laundry room; she escapes through the window.
  • Kill Annie in the car as described above.
  • Fully stalk Bob and Lynda, pin Bob to the kitchen wall, then equip the Sheet and kill Lynda with the telephone.
  • Stage the bodies upstairs in the bedroom and let Laurie discover the scene.
  • Fully stalk Laurie, then chase her to the closet where she hides.
  • Laurie attacks with the hanger, which completes the film’s plot.

Killing the dog before it spots you matters, because if it alerts Annie she runs off and the opening beat falls apart. Take it down first, then move on to Annie.

The Laurie chase and end of the chapter

Laurie enters through the back door once the three main victims are staged, and the pacing changes immediately. She has unlimited health and cannot be grabbed, so the objective becomes killing her before she calls for help. Drive her out of her hiding spots and keep attacking until the cutscene triggers.

The same bald figure from the prologue then appears to save her, Michael is shot, and the chapter ends. Once Laurie is moving, the setup phase is over. Do not leave the chase to revisit Bob’s kitchen or repair a failed Annie or Lynda challenge, because those windows have already closed.

Common reasons a challenge fails to trigger

Most misses come from breaking a scene early rather than from a mechanical mistake. Each entry below is a specific failure to avoid.

  • Killing Annie before she returns to the car voids the car strangle condition.
  • Interrupting Bob and Lynda before the Tier 3 stalk removes the shared stalking window.
  • Killing Bob with a normal grab instead of the contextual wall execution skips the pin challenge.
  • Attacking Lynda without the Sheet equipped, or using a different kill, breaks the telephone condition.
  • Spending Bloodthirsty on Annie, Bob, or Lynda wastes a reserved target and can leave the flexible challenge incomplete.

If you already cleared some challenges but missed one, there is no need to change your whole route on a replay. Return to the Wallace House and simply wait for the single scene that failed to reach its window, whether that is Annie’s car routine, the Bob and Lynda stalk, Bob’s wall kill, or Lynda’s disguise and telephone setup. Everything you completed on the previous run stays banked, so you only need to fix the scene that went wrong.
