How to Change your Display Name on Cisco WebEx

In case you had the wrong one set up at account creation

Got a new account for Cisco WebEx? You might have noticed the sign-up process for Cisco Webex is a bit different. It doesn’t appear to be an automated setup. You get an email from Cisco after you sign up — “Our team will respond to you shortly as soon as they have it set up”.


So naturally, there are inconsistencies with the details of your account, like your Full Name might not be correct as the account is set up manually by the Cisco Team.

If you’ve got an unprofessional display name in your Cisco Webex account, you may want to change it to your actual name because after all, you’re going the use Webex for business meetings and webinars.

Changing your Name on WebEx

Go to and sign in with your Cisco Webex account. Then, click on your WebEx account ‘Name’ at the top-right corner of the screen and select ‘My Profile’ from the available options in the menu.


On your Webex Profile settings screen, click the ‘Edit My Profile’ button below your name on the screen.

Enter your ‘First name’ and ‘Last name’ and then click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.

After clicking the Save button, you’ll be redirected back to your profile settings page where you can see your display name changed to the correct one that you set in the step before.
