Caves are one of the types of named place on the world map of Permafrost. The map has 4 of them: Cougar's Den, Bone Cave, Landscar Cave and Rift Cave.
Landscar Cave has 70 spots to loot and mine nearby, which makes it the strongest pick when a trip is about gathering. Rift Cave has 56 spots nearby, and Bone Cave has 46. If you want to work through as many spots as possible in one outing, start with Landscar Cave and keep Rift Cave in mind for your next run.

| Rift Cave | A massive fissure cutting through the landscape, creating a natural barrier. Difficult to explore with steep, icy walls. Conceals ancient geological formations and traces of human activity that some connect to the moon's shattering.
