A massive fissure cutting through the landscape, creating a natural barrier. Difficult to explore with steep, icy walls. Conceals ancient geological formations and traces of human activity that some connect to the moon's shattering. Dangerous and hard to climb through, needs to be approached with caution.

Rift Cave is a huge split in the ground in the Woods region, marked as a Cave on the in-game map. The gap cuts off easy passage across the land, and its sheer, frozen sides make it hard to climb and risky to explore, so go in carefully. It hides old rock formations and signs of people, which some tie to the breaking of the moon.
Most of the searchable containers nearby are frozen bodies, 8 of them, along with 3 wooden crates and a deer carcass. Copper Boulders are the most plentiful resource, with 17 spots, followed by 9 Gold Boulder, 8 Flint Boulder and 7 Coal Boulder spots. Recipe notes here teach the Barrel Brazier.
The nearest safe zone is Church, about 280 m away in a straight line, and Fast Travel: Church is about 320 m off. Woodcutters Outpost is only about 40 m away, with Hunter's Glade at about 110 m, Crater at about 120 m and The Crater's Military Convoy at about 140 m.
