Quincy progression in VV Ultimatum runs on a mission loop, not a grind. Everything opens up at Level 25 when you receive the Soldat Cap, and from there your Lieutenant hands you the tasks that push you toward the Sanrei Glove, Letzt Stil, and finally your Schrift after you defeat Securis in the Arctic Plains.
Quick answer: Reach Level 25 for the Soldat Cap, complete Lieutenant missions and always press Report Task, craft the Sanrei Glove (300 Soul Tokens plus materials), meditate to unlock Letzt Stil, then beat Securis in the Arctic Plains to unlock your Schrift around Level 69–70.
Quincy progression milestones in order
Each milestone is gated behind the previous one. You cannot skip ahead, so the fastest route is to clear each stage cleanly before moving on. Here is the full chain and what unlocks it.
| Milestone | How you unlock it |
|---|---|
| Soldat Cap | Reach Level 25 |
| Sanrei Glove | Complete enough Lieutenant missions, then craft the glove |
| Evolved Spirit Weapon | Continue missions after equipping the glove |
| Letzt Stil | Complete meditation steps with the glove at 70 Max Reiatsu |
| Schrift | Defeat Securis in the Arctic Plains |
Quincy is the most beginner-friendly race because the flow is clear and there is no heavy weapon crafting early on. The main mistake is stalling. Once you hit Level 25, every hour spent farming mobs instead of doing missions is progression time lost.

At character creation you pick a Spirit Weapon. The regular Sword is the safe, forgiving choice for new players because it has no major weakness. The Great Sword hits harder with strong critical damage if you want a pure damage build, while the Spear and Longsword are both viable for players who prefer reach.
You also choose one positive and one negative innate stat from Metal, Shunpo, Reserves, Haste, and Potency. For an M1-heavy damage build, Potency as your positive is a solid pick.
Before real progression starts, you fight a tutorial boss. Do not skip it. Beating it hands you rewards and teaches the parry system, which matters later against Securis. Clearing it unlocks race selection.

After spawning in, grab the necklace quest from a nearby chest first. Then hold C to open the quest menu and clear everything you can find. Early enemies scale in difficulty from mosquitoes to lizards to scorpions, so keep moving across the map and unlock new areas instead of camping one spot.

There is also a secret NPC who kills you on purpose and grants an achievement that rewards a free race slot reset. That is worth grabbing in case you ever want to reroll your Quincy.
Lieutenant missions and the Report Task rule
At Level 25, press L to open the mission board and take assignments from the Lieutenant. Each mission carries a 1 to 3 star rating. Higher stars are harder but give more progression EXP, so prioritize 3-star missions whenever you can handle them.
The single most common Quincy mistake is finishing a mission and forgetting to turn it in. Completing the objective alone does nothing. You must return to the Lieutenant, press L again, and select Report Task to actually receive the EXP.

There is a 5-minute cooldown between missions. Never select “Get New Task” after finishing, because that resets the cooldown timer and wastes your wait. The Lieutenant’s dialogue tells you how close you are.
| Lieutenant line | What it means |
|---|---|
| “The job’s still not done yet” | Keep completing missions |
| “You’re getting close” | Nearly at the next step |
| “The higher-ups will be happy… Report later for more tasks” | Mission step complete |
The fastest mission method
Open your Mission Tab, select Low Class Request Mission, and pick the Rendezvous Mission. This spawns Menos enemies and clears in roughly 30 seconds to a minute. If you have a Complete Missions PvE quest active, run it three times. On Menos Elimination, two runs are enough.

Skip PvP missions entirely while pushing progression. They take much longer and carry risk that is not worth it when you are just trying to rank up toward the Sanrei Glove.
How to craft the Sanrei Glove
After enough missions, the Lieutenant prompts you to obtain the Sanrei Glove. This is the biggest mid-game bottleneck. Travel to the Wandenreich and buy the recipe from the NPC at the top of the tallest tower for 300 Soul Tokens. Once equipped, the glove changes your L key into a Meditate command and evolves your Spirit Weapon with a new critical attack.

You need three materials to craft it. Gather all of them, then assemble the glove at any crafting table.
| Material | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Broken Quincy Medallion ×1 | Guaranteed drop from the Rogue Quincy Commander in the Arctic Plains, or a rare drop (~1%) from Rogue Quincy Archers |
| Frost Alloy ×1 | Crafted from Frost Deviant Shard, Great Soul Essence, and Spirit Alloy |
| Strange Essence ×2 | Dropped by light blue Hollow variants |
Farming Strange Essence
Strange Essence drops from light blue Hollows that look different from standard ones. The fastest spot is the waterfall near spawn in Society Outskirts. Walk out of spawn, find the waterfall, and go inside it. Hollows spawn there in a guaranteed location and drop Strange Essence when killed.
Crafting Frost Alloy
Frost Alloy is not a direct drop. You craft it from three components.
| Component | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Frost Deviant Shard | Kill Rogue Quincy Archers (red hats, red outfits, bows) near the AirWalk tower |
| Great Soul Essence | Combine 5 regular Soul Essences, which drop from Hollows in the Outskirts |
| Spirit Alloy | Buy from the merchant inside Arctic Town |
Getting the Broken Quincy Medallion
This is where most players get stuck. The reliable method is the Rogue Quincy Commander, who spawns in the Arctic Plains near the large gate at the entrance and then wanders the map. He travels with an army of Quincy soldiers and is a real fight, but the medallion is a guaranteed drop when you beat him.
The backup method is farming the same red-hat Archers you use for Frost Deviant Shards. They can drop the medallion too, but the rate is estimated around 1% or lower, so the Commander is the faster path.
Unlocking Letzt Stil through meditation
With the Sanrei Glove equipped, keep running missions until the Lieutenant tells you to meditate. You need to complete roughly 3 to 5 meditations at 70 Max Reiatsu.
When the Lieutenant says something like “You’re making progress… you might need more experience. Perhaps you should fight strong enemies,” it means control is achieved and you should go fight some NPCs to push through. Keep doing missions, and eventually he tells you the king has granted you power. At that point, equip the glove and hold E to activate Letzt Stil for the first time.
Once unlocked, Letzt Stil lets you collect Reishi beyond your normal limit, and popping it during combat restores HP. That HP recovery becomes important in the boss fight ahead.
Defeating Securis to unlock your Schrift
To reach the Arctic, you first need to beat the Crocodile King in the Marsh. After that, head to the Arctic Plains and grind more missions until the Lieutenant gives you the final task, a Shinigami who has been eliminating Quincy soldiers and needs to be dealt with. He warns that this enemy is stronger than average.
That enemy is Securis, and this is a solo boss encounter. You cannot bring other players into the fight. He spawns in the Arctic Plains and has a learnable attack pattern. He is squishy once you know his moves, but expect around 20 or more attempts if you go in blind.

The clean strategy is to spam M1s and save your Letzt Stil for the second phase when the fight gets serious. Dodge what you can, parry when the window opens, and use Letzt Stil to burst him down and restore HP once his health drops low.
After Securis falls, return to the Lieutenant and complete roughly three more missions. These will all be 2-star or 3-star, so pick the easiest available. Menos Grande missions are easy stat-checks by this stage.
When the Lieutenant says, “You have fully understood this power. You no longer require the glove to reach it. Turn your foes to ash,” your Schrift is unlocked. You receive 5 rerolls on first unlock, giving you multiple shots at a good Schrift. Options that appear include Superstar, Necromancer, Dimensional, Thunderbolts, Heat, and Blade Master. Necromancer and Superstar are considered the two strongest for Quincy, so reroll toward those if you can.
Note: Schrift is typically unlocked around Level 69–70 with normal progression. You do not need to be in Letzt Stil mode to use it. Hold Control with your weapon out, then left or right click depending on the ability, to activate your Schrift.
Best stats to invest in as a Quincy
You only get 100 skill points, and the biggest new-player mistake is spreading them across multiple trees. Commit to one direction. Resetting after Level 20 requires either a Robux purchase (around 1,000 Robux, one-time only) or crafting a Stat Reset Token from endgame materials that are not realistically reachable until deep into progression. A single free reset is available before Level 20.
| Stat | Effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Reserves | Increases Reiatsu pool | Highest |
| Potency | Increases damage output | High |
| Haze | Decreases skill cooldowns | Good for ability-heavy builds |
| Posture | Increases maximum posture | Situational |
| Sho | Movement speed and shunpo stamina | Niche speedster builds |
Common blockers and how to fix them
If progression stalls, it is almost always a missed step rather than a bug. Check this before assuming anything is broken.
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| No progress after a mission | Return to the Lieutenant and press Report Task |
| Cannot buy or craft the glove | Verify you have 300 Soul Tokens and all three materials, and keep the mission loop going for the prompt |
| Frost Alloy unavailable | Level up and farm the Arctic materials once you are eligible |
| Medallion not dropping | Fight the Rogue Quincy Commander for the guaranteed drop instead of farming Archers |
| Schrift not unlocking | Defeat Securis, then talk to the Lieutenant again and finish the final missions |
Past the Schrift unlock, progression moves into Hueco Mundo, where Lickers become the main threat and boss fights like Calamitus the dragon and Januio wait. Ultimate abilities open up at Level 100. The path is long, but sticking to the mission loop, always reporting tasks, and using the Rendezvous Mission trick keeps the whole grind moving without dead ends.
