Steal An Egg: How to Get the Eternal Lunar Dragon

Everything the Cosmic Zone egg demands, from the 700 million speed wall to carrying it past bear traps.

Everything the Cosmic Zone egg demands, from the 700 million speed wall to carrying it past bear traps.

The Eternal Lunar Dragon sits near the very top of Steal An Egg’s roster, an Eternal-rarity Cosmic pet that pays out around $250M per second once it lands on your base. Getting one comes down to a single rare egg that appears in the Cosmic Zone, and a race to haul it home before every other player in the lobby does the same.

Quick answer: Push your Speed above 700 million so you outrun the Cosmic Zone boss, wait for the Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg spawn notification, grab it in the Cosmic Zone, then carry it back to your base and drop it in your garden to hatch the dragon.

Speed requirement: reach above 700 million

The Cosmic Zone is guarded by a boss that will chase you the moment you touch a high-tier egg. To stay ahead of it reliably, your Speed needs to sit above 700 million. Many players keep grinding toward the 1 billion mark to give themselves a comfortable buffer during the run home.

You build that Speed the same way you build everything else in the game. Steal and hatch eggs, let your pets generate cash, and pour that money into new Trails and treadmill upgrades. Completing your Pet Index is the fastest accelerator, because each entry hands you a large Speed boost that stacks up quickly.

Keep strong pets equipped the whole time so passive income keeps funding upgrades even while you are off hunting eggs. The higher your total money per second, the faster each treadmill tier and Trail becomes affordable.

Where the Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg spawns

The Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg only appears in the Cosmic Zone, and it does so rarely. It also does not stay for long, so you cannot simply camp the area and wait it out at your leisure. Because the egg is so sought after, nearly every player in the server will rush it the instant it shows up.

Two habits improve your odds. Keep game sound and on-screen notifications active so you catch the spawn the second it happens, and consider hopping into a lower-population or slower server so there are fewer players competing for the same egg.

How to grab the egg and carry it home

Wait for the notification announcing that the Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg has spawned. This is your only cue, which is why sound and notifications need to stay on.
Equip your bat and race straight to the Cosmic Zone. The bat lets you contest other players who are gunning for the same prize.
Beat the crowd to the egg and pick it up. Expect a scramble at the spawn point, so get there fast and claim it before a rival does.
Sprint back toward the hub with the egg in hand. Jump frequently to make yourself harder to hit, since other players will try to whack you with their bats to make you drop it.

Watch the ground for bear traps as you go. Stepping on one forces you to drop the egg, which is often all a competitor needs to steal it.

Note: This whole return trip is where most attempts fail. High Speed matters just as much on the way home as it does at the egg itself, because it keeps you clear of both the boss and other players.

Hatching the dragon and confirming it worked

Once you make it back, drop the egg in your garden and wait for it to hatch. When the Eternal Lunar Dragon emerges and takes its place on your base, the pet is yours and starts generating income immediately. Seeing the dragon standing in your pen and adding to your money-per-second total is your confirmation the run succeeded.

If you never reach the hatch, the cause is almost always the same. You either got caught by the Cosmic Zone boss because your Speed was under 700 million, got knocked by another player’s bat, or lost the egg to a bear trap on the way home. Fixing those means more Speed, more jumping, and closer attention to the ground.

With the dragon hatched and equipped, you have one of the game’s strongest earners working around the clock, funding the next round of upgrades and putting the Divine-tier Unicorn within reach.
