Fisch: How to Get the Raging Squall Totem in Skycrest

Raging Squall is the rarer of the two Skycrest weather types in Fisch, and waiting for it to appear on its own is slow. It only ever shows up as a replacement for a Tropical Squall, which means most players end up burning Sundial Totems and hoping. The Raging Squall Totem removes that gamble entirely, and it comes from a questline you can finish on Skycrest itself.

Quick answer: Fly to Skycrest, find Pilgrim Sable on the left side of the village near the Angel NPC, and complete every gray-star quest in the Idol Spirit line. The final quest pays out the Raging Squall Totem.

What the Raging Squall Totem does

Totems in Fisch are single-use consumables that force a weather condition or a localized event. The Raging Squall Totem sets the weather to Raging Squall the moment you use it, and then it is gone from your backpack for good. Totems cannot be traded, though they can be parked in Personal Aquarium storage.

That matters because Raging Squall gates real content. Ancestral Abaia Hunts can only be summoned while a Raging Squall is active, the Raging trials for each of the seven Idols unlock under it, and the Flash Charm from Raging Ascension sits behind completing every Idol’s 15th quest. A Fruity Abaia ritual finished during any Squall also spawns the fish immediately.

Squall spawn rates climb as the Fire of Spirits percentage in Abaia’s Chamber rises, so sacrificing fish there improves your natural odds. The totem simply skips that whole loop.

Where to find Pilgrim Sable in Skycrest

Skycrest floats in the sky behind the Fischfest 2 island and is reached by swimming up a pair of waterfalls. Its GPS coordinates are -23525, 2630, -5750. Once you land in the village, head toward the left-hand side and look for the Angel NPC. Pilgrim Sable stands nearby, marked with a quest icon above his head.

Note: Skycrest also has a Magic Mirror teleport in Abaia’s Chamber that runs from Moosewood to Skycrest, which saves the waterfall climb on repeat visits.

How to complete the Idol Spirit questline

Talk to Pilgrim Sable and accept the first quest in the Idol Spirit line. His entries show up in your Quest Book under the heading Skycrest: Pilgrim Sable.

Open the Quest Book and read the current objective. Sable’s requests ask for specific Skycrest fish carrying particular attributes, such as catching and returning a Spirit Vibranium Fairy Wrasse.

Fish the Skycrest pools until you land the requested catch. The Idol’s Spirit mutation is one of the Skycrest mutations, so keep fishing the island’s own waters rather than travelling elsewhere.

Return to Sable and hand the fish over. The dialogue asks whether you want to bless the catch, and picking “Here you go!” turns it in. “Nevermind…” backs out and leaves the fish in your inventory.

Repeat for every gray-star quest attached to Sable. Work down the list until the final entry is marked complete, at which point the Raging Squall Totem lands in your backpack as the reward.

Using the totem and confirming it worked

Equip the totem from your backpack and interact with it. The sky changes over immediately and the Raging Squall weather banner appears, which is your confirmation. The totem is consumed at that moment.

From there you can fish the island as normal under Raging Squall conditions, chase the Raging trials for each Idol, or head to Abaia’s Chamber to start an Ancestral Abaia Hunt.

Why the totem might not trigger

Two things stop a totem from firing. You cannot use one to trigger a weather condition that is already running, so a Raging Squall Totem does nothing while a Raging Squall is active. There was also a bug in which both squall totems refused to work while any meteorological weather was active, and that was patched out in update 2.0.2 on 8 September 2026.

One more limit worth knowing before you spend the totem. Abaia Hunts of any kind cannot be spawned using Sundial Totems, so cycling the day with a Sundial will not substitute for the squall requirement.

The Idol Spirit line is a one-off, so the totem it gives you is best saved for something that genuinely needs a Raging Squall rather than spent on a casual fishing session. If you are working toward the Flash Charm or an Ancestral Abaia, hold onto it until you are already set up in Abaia’s Chamber with your Sky Crystals placed and the Fire of Spirits charged.
