Fisch: How to Get the Cloud Glider on Skycrest Island

The Cloud Glider is a Skycrest Island reward in Fisch, and it is not sold by any merchant. It sits behind a single NPC named Stan and a set of five trials tied to a stone idol on the same island. Nothing about the process is random, so once you know the exact conditions, it is purely a checklist.

Quick answer: Clear all five Hayate Idol trials on Skycrest Island to unlock the Swiftness Charm, then return to Stan at the stone windmill to receive the Cloud Glider.

What you need before starting the Cloud Glider quest

You need access to Skycrest Island and a working Hang Glider already in your inventory. One of the five trials asks you to hold a glider at maximum speed, so you cannot finish the chain without one.

The Hang Glider comes from the Mysterious Songstress inside the Underground Music Venue. That venue is opened by placing an Enchant Relic on the altar in Crystal Cove. Speak to the Songstress, pick the “Can you teach me how to sing” dialogue, and hand over a musical fish such as a Treble Bass or DJ Octopus. She gives you the Hang Glider and offers a follow-up quest that you can ignore for now.

Where to find Stan and the Hayate Idol on Skycrest Island

Land on Skycrest Island and head for the stone windmill. Stan stands right beside it, and he is the only NPC you need for this reward.

Talk to Stan. He asks you to satisfy the Hayate Idol’s trial and come back once the Swiftness Charm is unlocked. Your quest tracker on the left of the screen updates with Stan’s entries as you progress.

Travel from Stan toward the large windmill that is actively spinning. The Hayate Idol is the oversized stone head statue near it. Blue waypoint markers with distances point you in the right direction if you lose your bearings.

Each trial has a strict condition, and partial credit does not exist. The variant names matter as much as the fish species.

Swift Sailing is the one most players stall on, because two conditions have to line up at the same moment. The catch must register as a Perfect Catch, and the weather must be Windy when you reel the Sailfish in. A normal catch in windy weather does nothing, and a perfect catch in clear weather does nothing either.

Swift Swimmer and Swift Winds both hinge on mutations rather than the base fish. Only a Rose-Velled or Vibranium Fairy Wrasse counts for the first, and only a Gusty or Breezed African Butterflyfish counts for the second. Both are handed over to the idol rather than sold or stored.

True Swiftness closes the chain. You have to catch a Wyvern directly and finish the catch in under 20 seconds, which makes it the hardest gate in the set. Completing it pays out the Swiftness Charm along with +1,500 Idol Favor.

Claiming the Cloud Glider from Stan

Once True Swiftness pays out and the Swiftness Charm appears, glide back to Stan at the stone windmill and speak to him again. He hands over the Cloud Glider on the spot, which is the only confirmation you need that the chain is finished.

Note: Stan will not give you anything while the Swiftness Charm is still locked, no matter how many of the five trials you have already cleared. The charm is the trigger, not individual trial progress.

Why a trial is not registering

You caught a plain Fairy Wrasse or a plain African Butterflyfish instead of the listed variants.
Your Sailfish was reeled in without a Perfect Catch, or the weather was not Windy at the time.
Your glide dropped below top speed before the full 10 seconds elapsed, resetting the counter.
The Wyvern catch ran past the 20-second limit.

All five trials are repeatable attempts rather than one-shot failures, so a missed Perfect Catch or a slow Wyvern only costs you the time to try again. Keep the idol’s quest panel open between attempts to confirm each counter ticks over before moving to the next requirement.
