Bronze Nails are one of the first crafting materials you rely on in Graveyard Keeper 2, and running short of them stalls almost every early build. You can gather them by hand from scattered debris or forge them once you have a basic anvil.
Quick answer: Chop Broken Barrels and sort Trash Piles near your home with an axe to collect Bronze Nails, or forge 6 Bronze Nails from 1 Bronze Scrap at a Wooden Anvil.

Collect Bronze Nails from Broken Barrels and Trash Piles
The fastest early source is the junk scattered around your new home. Broken Barrels and Trash Piles usually appear in clusters of two or three, and both hold Bronze Nails.
Keep an axe equipped and chop the Broken Barrels apart. Each one drops Bronze Nails, Bronze Scraps, and Boards. Trash Piles are sorted with the Keeper’s hands rather than chopped, and they give both Bronze Nails and Bronze Scraps.

These clusters are common. You will find them around the Inquisitor’s base, near the house, and further out into the surrounding land, with a few also sitting in the village.
Breaking down Broken Barrels and Trash Piles grants the Junk Fighter line of Inspirations, which levels up your Metallurgy skill as you clear them.

Once the salvage runs dry, you can make Bronze Nails yourself. This turns Bronze Scraps into a steady supply.
Later in the game you can also forge Bronze Nails from other materials, including Bronze Ingots, once those recipes open up.
Chopping barrels and standing at the anvil both drain stamina, so eat high-quality food to keep working without long breaks.

What Bronze Nails are used for
Bronze Nails feed into a wide range of early and mid-game builds, which is why keeping a reserve pays off. Right at the start, they go toward:
- Woodworking Workbench
- Stonemason’s Workbench
- Firewood Shed
- Hardening Bucket
You will know the supply is working when Bronze Nails appear in your inventory after each chop, sort, or forge, and when the blocked recipes above stop showing a missing-material warning. With both the salvage route and the anvil running, you should never be gated by nails again in the opening hours.
