The demon route in Slayers 2 is not a menu choice. You have to earn a negative reputation, track down Muzan at night, run his errand, and drink his blood before the game hands you the Demon title. Everything that makes the faction worth playing — Blood Demon Arts, sun immunity, progression buffs — sits behind that transformation.
Quick answer: Drop to -40 reputation, find Muzan at night in Mistfall Harbor, Hidden Mist Village or Iceveil Valley, take his Biwa Bell, deliver Dr. Higoshima, collect 9 Spider Lilies, then drink Muzan’s Blood.
Reputation requirement: how to reach -40 fast
Muzan will not offer the transformation until your reputation sits at -40 or lower. The option simply does not appear in his dialogue otherwise, so this is the first thing to clear.
Two things lower it, and they are not equally fast. Killing civilians works but chips away slowly. Killing Mizunoto slayers is the efficient route — farming them near the Butterfly Estate and Seasons Crossing area gives -9 reputation per kill, so roughly five kills puts you over the line.
Check your reputation before you go hunting for Muzan. Arriving at his spawn point with -30 wastes the trip, and he only appears at night.

Muzan rotates between three points on the map and spawns at night. If he is not at any of them, server hop and check again — that is faster than waiting out a day cycle.
| Location | Where on the map | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mistfall Harbor | Bottom-right, near the beginner village | Most convenient for new characters |
| Hidden Mist Village | Inside the mist area | Secret village, enter through the mist |
| Iceveil Valley | Snow region village | Bring an Ember Heart Lantern or use campfires |
Open the minimap and click it to expand the full map if you are not sure which direction to head. Mistfall Harbor is the one most players end up using, purely because it sits next to the starting area.
Muzan’s quest: Dr. Higoshima and 9 Spider Lilies

Rather than waiting for lilies to respawn in one server, clear the spots you know and then hop servers to reset them. It is the quicker way to hit 9/9.
Sun immunity: how to get the Black Amigasa hat
As a demon, standing in daylight applies burn damage and will eventually kill you. The beginner answer is the Black Amigasa, a hat that carries the Sun Immunity stat and lets you move around during the day.

The hat is a stopgap, not a build piece. It grants sun protection and nothing else, so treat it as the thing that keeps you alive until you can chase better hats that pair sun immunity with actual stat buffs.
Blood Demon Arts: rolling one and finishing core training
Blood Demon Arts are the demon equivalent of Breathing Styles, and there are two ways in. You can farm bosses and chests, including luck chests, for Evil Art Orbs. Or you can use the Biwa Bell to return to Muzan’s lair, pick the option to ask him for power, and spin. Spins cost either Robux or in-game currency, with a roll costing three spins.
Whichever route you take, the orb is only the start. Consuming it opens a randomized questline with markers on your map — training tasks like barbell squats, pushups, boulder pushes and boulder splits, plus objectives such as defeating Mizunotos. Finish every objective and the art is permanently yours.

Dying during the Blood Demon Art quest can wipe your progress on it. Play cautiously until the final objective ticks over.
Unlocking skills and building mastery
Once the art is unlocked, open the Skill Tree and spend skill points on its abilities. Deeper skills are gated behind mastery, and mastery only goes up by actually using the art’s abilities in combat. There is no shortcut.

Some arts work fine with your fists. Others are weapon-locked, and that matters a lot early. Blood Manipulation requires a Sickle, and the sickle drop realistically needs you around level 52, which is why it is a poor first pick for a fresh demon. Arrow is a far friendlier starting art because it does not ask you to build around a specific weapon first.
Demon bosses and the ultimates they drop
Ultimates for each art come from specific bosses, several of which only appear at night. The lower-level ones cluster around Bamboo Grove and the Wilderness cave, while the harder ones sit in and beyond Iceveil Valley.
| Boss | Location | Drop |
|---|---|---|
| Hoyuzo, the Sickle Reaper | Bamboo Grove | Sickles and sickle gear |
| Yahari | Across the wooden bridge, at night | Arrow ultimate |
| Sumari | Across the wooden bridge, at night | Temari ultimate |
| Reaper | Behind Sumari | Sonido Surge ultimate |
| Datoi | Wilderness cave | Obi ultimate |
| Gyutai | Wilderness cave | Blood Manipulation ultimate |
| Domae | Between houses, Iceveil Valley | Ice ultimate |
| Akazo | Through the gates behind Iceveil Valley | Shockwave ultimate |
| Nezura | Final Selection Plains bridge, past Butterfly Estate | Blood Rupture ultimate |

Demon progression and soul farming
Demon progression is a separate track from your character level, and it is what hands out passive buffs. To check it, press M, open Player Info, select Progression, and read the bar.
You fill that bar by killing human NPCs and claiming the glowing souls they drop. Stronger targets are worth dramatically more, which makes Hashira the best return per fight.
| Soul type | Dropped by | Progression value |
|---|---|---|
| Weak Soul | Low-level NPCs | Lowest |
| Strong Soul | Mid-tier NPCs | +10 |
| Brave Soul | Very strong NPCs, including Hashira | +25 |
Killing other demons drops nothing. If you are farming progression, every target should be a human NPC.
Filling the bar pushes you through Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 progression, with Level 4 understood to be the cap. Each step hands out buffs and passive abilities, so it is worth farming alongside normal levelling rather than after it.
Past that, the loop changes shape. Once you are levelling toward 40 and beyond, the recommended quest tracker in your map settings keeps the grind pointed somewhere useful, and Wagwan in Bamboo Grove is worth revisiting for quests. At level 140 and up, demons ring the Bell to pick up Muzan’s contracts and start hunting Hashira directly — which is also where those +25 Brave Souls start rolling in.
