Peak cheerfulness is the objective that gates the opening section of the Driftwise Meadow Journey chapter in Aniimo. The Happy Fentuft Team will only let you join once you have proved you can hand out joy yourself, and the counter only moves when you satisfy three separate Fentufts scattered across the meadow.

Quick answer: Twine with a Fentuft, then earn three Pure Happiness marks in Driftwise Meadow — bounce the Springy Tuftballs, snuggle the Sad Nimbi until it floats, and clear the Tuftball Super Rush Challenge.

Where the peak cheerfulness objective takes place

All three cheerfulness targets sit inside Driftwise Meadow, a Breezy Plains area. The quest itself is called Fentufts and the Nimbi, and it is the first of two sections in The Legend of Driftwise Meadow. Every marker you need is within the meadow, so there is no travel between regions involved.

Before the first marker, catch or deploy a Fentuft-family Aniimo and use it to Twine, then raise cheerfulness to its maximum. Twining is required because snuggles, games and tuftball interactions unlock only when you are wearing a Fentuft form.

Pure Happiness 1: Bounce on the Springy Tuftballs

Open the map and head for the first quest marker in Driftwise Meadow. Run across the grass until you reach the Fentuft standing alone in the open field.
Talk to Helpful Fentuft. It explains that it wants to double-jump on the Tuftballs, and you can skip through the dialogue if you have already read it.

Activate the golden ring on the ground beside the Springy Tuftballs. That starts the bouncing sequence, and the watching Fentufts begin to celebrate as you jump.

A short scene plays with Helpful Fentuft barking happily, the Pure Happiness card appears, and you are handed a Joyous Tuftball. Hold on to it — the tuftballs matter later in the chapter.

Pure Happiness 2: Cheer up the Sad Nimbi

Check the map for the second target, which is also inside Driftwise Meadow. Travel there and look for Meticulous Fentuft standing next to a Sad Nimbi.
Talk to Meticulous Fentuft about cheering the Nimbi up, then pick the Snuggle option. The Sad Nimbi reacts and then drifts away up the flower field.

Follow Sad Nimbi and Meticulous Fentuft up the path lined with blue flowers. Keep pace with them until the pair stop again further uphill.

Choose Twine with Nimbi. The game then asks you to repeat the snuggle interaction until the Nimbi’s mood turns, at which point it lifts off the ground and floats happily in the air.

Do not walk away between snuggles. The prompt loops in place, so staying next to the Nimbi finishes the second Pure Happiness in a few seconds.

Pure Happiness 3: Clear the Tuftball Super Rush Challenge

Open the world map again. The third marker sits away from the open meadow, near the cliffs at the edge of the area.

Climb to the rock ledge and speak with Excited Fentuft. Its dialogue starts the Tuftball Super Rush Challenge.
Jump and scurry across the row of Tuftballs suspended above the terrain. The run must be completed without hitting the ground, so chain your jumps from one tuftball to the next rather than pausing between them.

When you reach the end, a confirmation screen states that the Tuftball Super Rush Challenge is cleared, awards the third Pure Happiness, and tells you to go and chat with the Fentuft Inspector.

How to confirm all 3/3 registered, and what comes next

Each success is confirmed the same way. A short scene plays, a Pure Happiness completion card appears on screen, and the objective counter ticks up. Once the third card shows, the tracker reads 3/3 and the quest switches to a new instruction pointing you at the Fentuft Inspector.

This section continues with Big One, a Bittersweet Bloom that will not fully open, regardless of how many joyous tuftballs it gets. Give the flower a Melancholic Fluff to make progress; you then learn the reason it refuses to blossom and report the discovery to the Inspector.

Finishing Fentufts and the Nimbi is also the prerequisite for the chapter’s second section, A Fragrant Journey: Driftwise Meadow, which introduces the Bloomville perfumer Fantine.
