The Ruins Aniimo Egg is an Epic-rarity egg that only comes out of one place in Aniimo: the nests buried inside Operation: Egg Heist. You dig it out of the ground during a run, carry it back to the Egg Boat, and leave the island alive with it. Once it is in your inventory, it hatches into a random Aniimo like any other egg.

Quick answer: Dig up egg nests inside Operation: Egg Heist, evacuate the island safely, then place the egg in an Outpost Hatchinator or your Home Hatchinator to hatch it.

Dig egg nests in Operation: Egg Heist

Operation: Egg Heist is Aniimo’s extraction mode, set on the Lost Isles. It opens once you reach Level 50 and Wayfarer III. The mode is live now, running since September 18, 2026, so there is no waiting for it to come back around.

A match begins with your squad arriving on the shore next to an Egg Boat, and a 30-minute timer starts. Eggs are tucked into nests among the ruins. To bring one back, defeat its guards, dig it free, then carry it to your boat before the countdown ends. The basic process is as follows.

From the Ancient Harbor, make your way to the Lost Sanctum. You can enter through either of two doors: the main doorway puts you in the shallower section, whereas the side doorway takes you directly to the deeper area, where the more valuable rooms are found.
Find an egg nest, shown as a broad black mound in a guarded room. Clear the guards first, then dig. Twining with the egg swaps your fighter for a slow-rolling egg, so you do not want enemies on you while you do it.
Roll the egg back to the Egg Boat, submit it, and trigger a safe evacuation. Only a clean evacuation banks the run. The boat holds more than one egg, so you can submit and go back in for another nest if the clock allows.

Fainting once makes you forfeit everything in your backpack along with your equipped gear. On a solo run there is nobody to revive you, so keep an escape route open rather than trading blows at low health.

Beginner Protection is active for rounds 1 through 3 at each difficulty level. Should an extraction fail during that period, your unit, amplifier, chip, backpack, and all its contents stay with you. Use these attempts to get familiar with the island.

Ruins Aniimo Egg stats and variants

Every version of this egg is Epic quality and carries the same promise inside the shell. What changes between them is how much leftover Prismana energy coalesces into Prismana Shell Shards when the egg hatches.

The base Ruins Aniimo Egg sells for 4,800 Eggshell Coins and weighs 3 kg, which matters inside Egg Heist where an overloaded backpack slows you to a crawl. All three variants come from the same source — digging up egg nests in Operation: Egg Heist — so a higher-difficulty run is what pushes you toward the Incredible and Fragrant versions that return more shards.

Hatch the egg in a Hatchinator

Once you leave the island with a Ruins Aniimo Egg, it works like every other egg in the game. Place it in a Hatchinator to hatch a random Aniimo, with a small chance of a Sparkling variant. You can use the Hatchinator in the Outpost or the one at your Homeland.

The Home Hatchinator unlocks at Homeland level 2 and costs 320 Home Coin to build to level 1. A Caress completes the egg timer instantly if you would rather not wait out the incubation. When the Aniimo pops, the leftover Prismana energy also turns into Prismana Shell Shards, the number set by which variant you hatched.

You know the whole loop worked when the egg leaves your inventory, a new Aniimo appears from the Hatchinator, and the Prismana Shell Shards land in your bag alongside it.
