The default keys for movement, combat, overlay and menus, the hold and toggle defaults, and controller settings in one place.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 uses a familiar keyboard and mouse layout on PC, and the defaults can be changed in the Settings menu. Each action has two key slots, so you can keep the default key and add a second one.

Quick answer: W, A, S, D move. Space jumps, stands up or mantles. C crouches or slides, and Ctrl goes prone or dives. Shift sprints, and a double press gives Tactical Sprint. Left Mouse Button fires and Right Mouse Button aims down sights. R reloads and V is melee. E throws lethal equipment and Q throws tactical equipment. X is the Field Upgrade, G applies armor plates and F interacts. Keys 3, 4, 5 and 6 call killstreaks. Tab opens the scoreboard and M opens the map. Middle Mouse Button pings, and Z is push to talk.

How to change keybinds in Modern Warfare 4

From the main menu, click the gear in the upper-right corner to enter Settings; choose the Keyboard & Mouse tab. It contains four tabs: Mouse, Keybinds, Movement and Combat.
Pick the Keybinds sub-tab. The top of the list holds Binding Preview, Unbound Actions, Keybinds Preset (default: Default) and System Key Behavior (default: Operating System). Below those are the keybind sections, which are Movement Keybinds, Combat Keybinds, Vehicle Keybinds, Overlay Keybinds and Menu Action.
Locate the action whose binding you want to edit. Its primary key is shown in the left slot, with the alternate key in the right slot. Click either slot, then press the key to assign.
To clear a slot instead, select it and watch for the “Unbind Key” prompt. Press Delete and that slot is emptied.

Check the side panel before you commit to a change. It explains the selected action and lists the other actions linked to the same key by default. Some actions also offer a “Go to related settings” shortcut that jumps to their hold or toggle setting.

The bottom bar carries Search, an Accessibility Filter toggle and a Reset Tab button. On a controller, buttons are changed under Settings > Controller > Controller tab > Button Layout (default: Default), which opens its own screen.
