Enshrouded 1.0: Every Skill at the Center of the Skill Tree and What It Does

All 19 skills at the center of the Enshrouded 1.0 skill tree, with cost per rank, ranks and effects, plus the 12 Spark nodes that cost 0.

All 19 skills at the center of the Enshrouded 1.0 skill tree, with cost per rank, ranks and effects, plus the 12 Spark nodes that cost 0.

Enshrouded 1.0 puts its Warrior, Ranger and Mage areas on one shared skill map, and in the middle sits a group of skills that belong to none of them. These 19 nodes cover gathering tools, movement, Shroud survival, Merciless Attacks, Grappling Hook combat, fishing, reviving allies, the Rested buff and building.

Quick answer: The center holds 19 classless skills. Maxing all of them costs 50 skill points. The 12 Spark nodes around them cost 0 skill points.

The class areas have their own guides: every Warrior skill, every Ranger skill and every Mage skill, each with what it does. The eight combat skills added in 1.0 are in what all 8 new combat skills do.

Where the center skills sit on the Enshrouded skill tree

Open the Skills screen and look at the middle of the map. The center skills sit inside a ring of Spark nodes. The three class areas spread outward from that ring.

How center skill costs and ranks work

Hover any node to see its card. The card lists the skill name and whether it is Unlocked. Ranked nodes also show their level as Level x/3. Below that, the card shows the effect and the amount gained per level.

Skill points are spent on each rank, and the tables show the cost of a single rank. A skill’s listed effect is its rank 1 value; each subsequent rank adds the per-rank amount. For example, a 3-rank node that grants 10% per rank provides 30% at Level 3/3. Destroying Shroud Roots is one way to earn skill points; see all Shroud Root and Elixir Well locations.

Center skills with 3 ranks

Each of these nine skills costs 1 skill point per rank. Every rank raises the effect by a fixed amount.

The Rested buff increases your Stamina Maximum and Regeneration significantly; it requires shelter, sitting or sleeping, as well as warmth from a heat source. The buff can be refreshed anywhere. Surrounding comfort items further increase its duration.2 minutes

The three tool skills target different materials. Lumberjack handles timber and wood-based terrain. Mason works on gemstone veins and stone terrain. Prospector is for metal ore veins.

Fisherman’s Resolve gives you longer fights with hooked fish. Inner Fires lets you stay in the Shroud longer before the Shroud timer runs out. Saviour works against a default revive time of 6 seconds.

Well Rested extends the Rested buff, which greatly raises your Stamina Maximum and Regeneration. To get the buff, you need shelter, a place to sit or sleep, and warmth from a heat source. Once you have it, you can refresh it anywhere. Comfort items nearby add even more duration.

Felling Axe Specialization and Pickaxe Specialization work the same way. Each one lets you use that tool’s Special Ability once you build up enough Focus. Attacks with any weapon type generate Focus.

Each Grappling Hook skill has a base Stamina cost that changes with the enemy’s level, making every pull on a higher-level enemy more expensive. Giant Slayer Hook draws you toward large enemies. Grounding Hook drags flying enemies down to you.

Opportunity and Snap both work with Merciless Attacks. To overpower an enemy, fill its Stun Bar by hitting it while it blocks or by parrying its attacks.

Merciless Attacks are unavailable to Wands, Staves, and Bows.
