Rose on the Grand Hall staircase in the Main Hall in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

Quick answer: Begin at the Elevator Tower Mirror of Life and head right across the Grand Hall to reach the Abandoned Workshop. On the wall at the workshop’s far end, pass through the gold-framed mirror, then open the dark iron chest in the room above. The relic cuts trap damage to Rose by 75%.

Where the Ghostly Pendant is

Inside a dark iron chest in the concealed upper chamber lies the Ghostly Pendant relic. The chamber is in the Abandoned Workshop, part of the Main Hall; enter the district by taking the Grand Hall’s right-hand door.

  • Area: Main Hall
  • District: Abandoned Workshop — access via the Grand Hall’s right-hand door
  • Nearest Mirror of Life: Elevator Tower
  • Container: dark iron chest in the upper room

The upper chamber remains unlit until Rose enters. Inside, blueprints cover the walls, and a pile of dragon-skull bone pillars that launch blue fireballs stands beside the chest. Our interactive map opens on the Ghostly Pendant on our map.

How to reach the upper room

The way into the hidden room is a magical mirror on the workshop’s lower floor.

Exit the Elevator Tower Mirror of Life using the door on the right, which leads into the Grand Hall. Head right across the hall and leave by its door on that side. You’ll know you’ve reached the ABANDONED WORKSHOP when its banner appears. On the floor below, find a statue in a hood surrounded by purple light.

On the lower floor, pass the statue while heading right until you reach the gold-framed magical mirror at the far-right wall; enter it. Rose appears on the upper room’s right side.
Head left until you reach the stacked dragon-skull pillar blocking the walkway. It spits blue fireballs, so attack it with the left mouse button until it breaks.
Walk to the chest just past the pillar. When the Interact prompt appears, press E to open it.

What the Ghostly Pendant does

When you open the chest, the GHOSTLY PENDANT relic card appears on screen, so you know the pickup worked. The card lists one effect.

“Traps deal 75% less damage to Rose.”

The flavour text reads: “Given to coachmen, this talisman was meant to protect them from Paris’ most dangerous streets.”

You can equip it right away from the card with Hold to equip, or do it later from the Equipment screen. With the relic on, trap damage drops by 75%. To see how it compares with the others, check how the relics rank. You can also browse every relic location, or go through all items in the Main Hall while you’re in the area.
