Your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ stash starts with space for 40 items and 12 weapons, and the bank limit is $100,000. That space fills quickly when you extract from Hajin. Build base upgrades at the 3D PRINTER in your FOB to increase both limits. These are the base options listed under UPGRADES on the 3D PRINTER at low DMZ levels during early access.
Quick answer: Open the 3D PRINTER, pick UPGRADES, and use HOLD TO UPGRADE on Bank Upgrade I (20,000 cash), Stash Item Upgrade I (+18 items) or Stash Weapon Upgrade I (+6 weapons).
Stash and bank upgrade costs in MW4 DMZ
Four upgrades change how much you can store. Two raise the bank cap, and two add stash slots.
| Upgrade | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| BANK UPGRADE I | Bank limit to $250,000 | Cash 20,000 |
| BANK UPGRADE II | Bank limit to $500,000 | Cash 50,000 |
| STASH ITEM UPGRADE I | +18 item slots | Cash 10,000, Rigid Synthetics 10, Electronic Sensors 10 |
| STASH WEAPON UPGRADE I | +6 weapon slots | Cash 50,000, Reactive Metals 20, Stock Rod 10, Comms Module 5 |
Bank Upgrade II reads “Increases the amount of cash your bank can hold to $500,000.” Once Bank Upgrade II is built, BANK UPGRADE III shows up in the same list.
You can track your current counts on the STASH/LOADOUT screen, which shows them at the top as, for example, “4/12 WEAPONS” and “5/40 ITEMS”. Your bank cap shows on the HUD: “BANK $0 / $100K” before any bank upgrade, “/ $250K” after Bank Upgrade I and “/ $500K” after Bank Upgrade II.

Which stash or bank upgrade to build first
Bank Upgrade I is the easiest first build. It’s cash only at 20,000, and it more than doubles a bank that starts at $100,000. Bank Upgrade II works the same way for 50,000 cash. Of the two stash upgrades, Stash Weapon Upgrade I is the dearest, at 50,000 cash plus Reactive Metals, Stock Rods and Comms Modules.
Red Tool Boxes can contain Rigid Synthetics; one on the damaged exterior stair landing at DBN Headquarters contained x2.
Selling stash items you don’t need frees up space and builds cash toward these costs. Each item shows a SELL price. A 1-Plate Armor Vest sells for $500, and a Large Backpack sells for $5000.
Other FOB base upgrades in the UPGRADES tab
The same list holds base upgrades that don’t touch stash or bank space. They compete for the same cash and ingredients, so they’re worth knowing before you spend.

| MIA RECOVERY DISCOUNT I | -5% MIA recovery cost | Regional Combat Notes 5, Control Unit 10, Rigid Synthetics 10 |

GUNSMITH UPGRADE I sits further down the list and shows a lock at low DMZ levels. VENDOR ITEM UPGRADE I joins the list once Bank Upgrade II is built.
