Enshrouded 1.0: Where to Find Shroud Mushroom (Best Spots and What It Makes)

Shroud Mushroom patches in the Revelwood and Blackmire, the largest patches to farm, and every recipe that uses the mushroom.

Shroud Mushroom patches in the Revelwood and Blackmire, the largest patches to farm, and every recipe that uses the mushroom.

Embervale has 104 Shroud Mushroom patches, holding 1197 mushrooms in total. The Revelwood has 101 of those patches with 1165 mushrooms, and Blackmire has the other 3 patches with 32 mushrooms.

Quick answer: Farm Shroud Mushroom in the Revelwood Shroud, beginning at a 67-mushroom cluster roughly 50 m west of Cloverbrook Farm.

Where Shroud Mushroom grows

Shroud Mushroom is a crafting material, and you cannot eat it. The game lists its source as the Revelwood Shroud.

  • Rarity: Common
  • Item level: 13
  • Stack size: 250
  • Listed source: Revelwood Shroud

The item card describes it like this:

“A mushroom that is commonly found beneath the Shroud. It’s inedible but can be processed into different materials in crafting.”

Almost every patch is in the Revelwood. Blackmire has only 3 patches.

Best Shroud Mushroom spots

The largest patch holds 67 mushrooms and sits about 50 m west of Cloverbrook Farm. Several other big patches surround White Wind, and more are near Trade Outpost “Old Rye”. One trip into the Shroud around those two places covers a lot of patches.

What Shroud Mushroom is used for

Every Flame level 3 helmet (the sets are in craftable armor sets by Flame level) costs 5 Shroud Mushroom. The Alchemist makes the Mage Hat and Healer Headwrap, the Blacksmith makes the Adventurer Helmet and Tank Helmet, and the Hunter makes the Ranger Hood and Cutthroat Helmet.

Each Goo craft uses 2 Shroud Mushroom, so the Flame Altar upgrade requiring 15 Goo consumes 30 Shroud Mushroom. Flask of the Fell has the highest cost, at 10 per craft.

Goo shows up in several of these recipes, including the Mage Hat, Azure Russula Seedling, and Rocky Shore. Any Goo you make adds to the Shroud Mushroom you spend. If you plan to craft helmets and Goo together, gather from the large Revelwood patches.

The helmets are part of the Flame level 3 sets in the early mage build, the early warrior build and the early ranger build. Goo also needs Bug Dust, and the Alchemist recipes are all in every Alchemist recipe. Indigo Plant, which the Tank Helmet, Ranger Hood and Cutthroat Helmet also need, grows in the Revelwood too: see the Indigo Plant location.
