Craft this level 13 material at the Alchemist from Critter Parts, with every source and recipe that uses it.

In Enshrouded, Bug Dust is a common crafting resource. Item text: “A protein rich ingredient created from crushed critter shells.” Bug Dust is crafted by the Alchemist from Critter Parts. Bring raw Critter Parts to the Alchemist to make it; bug-like enemies living in the Shroud drop those parts.

Quick answer: Craft Bug Dust at the Alchemist using the Mortar. Each craft turns 1 Critter Parts into 1 Bug Dust, so gather Critter Parts from Fell Critters in the Shroud first.

What you need before you can craft Bug Dust

The recipe sits with the Alchemist, so three things have to be in place first.

  • The Alchemist, rescued and sheltered under a roof at your base.
  • The Alchemist’s Mortar, placed at your base. You find it in the Alchemist’s underground laboratory inside the Alchemist Tower at Lone Thistle, as part of the quest “The Alchemist’s Mortar”.
  • Critter Parts in your inventory, one per Bug Dust you want to make.

Bug Dust itself is a level 13 common material with a stack size of 250.

How to craft Bug Dust at the Alchemist

Rescue the Alchemist and complete “The Alchemist’s Mortar”. The Mortar is hidden in the Alchemist Tower at Lone Thistle, down in his laboratory. Carry it back and place it at your base.
Gather Critter Parts. In the Shroud, hunt Fell Critters and Fell Critter Hatchlings, then collect the Critter Parts they drop. Most are found in the Springlands Shroud. The Springlands map also marks a Critter Nest camp.
Return to base and talk to the Alchemist to open the crafting menu. Open the Resources category and select Bug Dust.

Confirm the craft. One Critter Parts becomes one Bug Dust. Craft x10 works when you have the parts.
