Rain and the party facing the throne-room stairs in burning Grandshelt Castle

Final Fantasy Resonance on PC puts a boss in front of you almost from the opening minutes, and each one has its own level, HP pool, elemental weaknesses and drops. Every number below is for Normal difficulty in the launch version, so it lines up with your first run through the walkthrough.

Spoiler warning: the tables name late-game bosses.

Quick answer: The roster contains 95 bosses. Belmodar is the starting opponent (at Lv 4, its HP is 2,000; Fire and Dark are effective against it); Omega marks the endpoint (Lv 99, with 9,999,999 HP and Thunder as its weakness). A total of 23 bosses recur in battles at different levels.

The story opens with three of them. Belmodar comes first, then Hell’s Rider (Lv 6, 4,000 HP, weak to Ice and Light) at Grandshelt Castle, then Umbra (Lv 17, 99,999 HP), a fight you are not meant to win.

Belmodar guards the Earth Shrine and is the first boss you meet; the fight is covered in detail in how to beat Belmodar.

Hell’s Rider fights alongside three Dark Skeletons at Grandshelt Castle, and its Libra entry carries the trait “Uses a special skill when alone in battle.” The full fight is in how to beat Hell’s Rider.

The first Umbra fight is Lv 17 with 99,999 HP, and it ends on its own rather than when the HP bar empties. Can you beat Umbra goes through what happens there.

The Hunger is the Chapter 1 boss of the Kolobos Ruins, and you fight it immediately after the Dr. Lazarov scene in the lab north of the inner save circle. Both phases happen in one fight: “The Hunger” (Lv.9, 2,500 HP, Demon, weak to Ice) comes first, followed by “The Hunger v2” (Lv.10, 7,000 HP, Demon, weak to Light, trait “Summons allies when alone in battle.”) with two Enhanced Wraith Soldiers. A win pays 650 EXP, 325 Gil, 39 MRP and Potion x2.

Libra on The Hunger v2, Lv.10, 7000 HP, Demon
Libra on The Hunger v2, the second phase of the Kolobos Ruins boss.

You face Siren at Siren’s Tower. The Sealing Stone in the Kingdom of Grandshelt conceals Titan.

Bosses you fight more than once

23 bosses come back for repeat fights, and each fight has its own level and HP. The table gives the lowest and highest values across all of a boss’s fights; for Umbra, the Lv 17 entry is the first encounter.

Checking a boss with Libra

During a fight, Leah can use Libra to verify any of these figures. You get Libra from a Vision; the setup is covered in how to equip Visions. Its panel displays the boss’s level, HP, type, drops, stealable items, traits, resistances, and weaknesses; gold icons indicate weaknesses.

Full-screen enemy information panel for Umbra showing affinities, 99999 HP, Humanoid type, resistances and empty trait and drop fields.
Umbra is Lv. 17 with 99,999 HP, resists Dark and has no listed drops.

The traits listed there tie into the stagger gauge for several bosses, and the same panel works on regular foes, including the Chapter 1 enemies.
