How to Get the Scarlet Wraithblade in Phantom Blade Zero (Hua’s Weapon)

The Scarlet Wraithblade is a two-handed boss weapon in Phantom Blade Zero. It sits behind a fight in Chapter 3 (Steel and Steam), deep in Weeping Creek Valley, and the bell you need for fast travel there stays locked until that fight ends.

Quick answer: Defeat the boss Hua, Deadly Betrothed at Flesh Lily Fields in Weeping Creek Valley. The Scarlet Wraithblade is her reward.

Where to find Hua and the Flesh Lily Fields bell

Rest at the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base bell in Weeping Creek Valley. It is the last bell before the boss, and its menu offers Traverse, Upgrade, Train, Save and Leave. Expect Powderkeg bomb throwers, Brutes and a Bronze Man: Fist in the surrounding area.

Flesh Lily Fields is about 140 metres away from the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base bell, downhill from it. Once revealed, the Weeping Creek Valley map marks it as a red-tinted area just above and a little left of Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base.

Approach the Flesh Lily Fields bell to start the fight. The arena is a field of red spider lilies dressed with candles, red cloth and a wedding altar. A cutscene plays the moment you get near the bell, showing a bride seated among the lilies who then draws a long blade, and the battle with Hua, Deadly Betrothed starts as soon as it ends.

Defeat Hua to receive the Scarlet Wraithblade. A weapon card appears with the prompt “Equip the new weapon now?” and the item lore reads “A massive dismembering blade once wielded by the bride, Hua.” The kill also adds 9,000 Remnant Dust to your total.

Use the E prompt at the bell post before the wedding altar to ring the Flesh Lily Fields bell. The area is then revealed on the map, raising Map Completion from 35% to 39%. You can Traverse to Flesh Lily Fields after that.

The Flesh Lily Fields bell stays unusable until Hua is defeated. Its cutscene plays before you get the chance to ring it.

Tips for the Hua, Deadly Betrothed fight

Hua has 21,060 HP on PATHBREAKER, the default difficulty.
Hua is a Puppet. Jagged Steel‘s Bleed “Has no effect on Puppets, Golden Bodies, or Phantom Bodies”, so a Bleed weapon adds nothing here.
Before you enter, rest at Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base to refill your HP and healing gourd uses.
Outside combat, open SYSTEM > Game > Select Difficulty to switch to WAYFARER whenever you want (difficulty modes).

Its Standard Combo is four Light Attack (left mouse) presses. The Sha-Chi Combo (F F) “Can be unleashed after any swing during a Standard Combo. With enough Sha-Chi, it becomes an enhanced attack with increased damage and Guard Break.”
