Fighting Styles are the melee martial-arts path in Haze Seas, letting you fight with your fists and body instead of relying on a Devil Fruit or sword. They’re a fantastic complement to any build — you can run a fruit for ranged pressure and a Fighting Style for close-range combos, or go pure melee for a fast, aggressive playstyle. This guide covers every Fighting Style, both V1 and the awakened V2 versions, with full movesets, unlock costs and a tier list.
There are five styles in the game: Black Leg, Electro, Fishman, Cyborg and Dragon Claw. Each starts as a V1 you buy from a trainer in Sea 1, then evolves into a much stronger V2 once you hit 300 Mastery and gather the right materials. Below we walk through how to obtain each one and what its full kit looks like.
How to Get Fighting Styles
Every V1 style is sold by a dedicated trainer NPC on the Sea 1 Starter Island. Prices range from a cheap 50,000 Beli for Black Leg up to 800,000 Beli for Cyborg, with Dragon Claw sold for 150 Gems. Once you own a style and grind it to 300 Mastery, you can take it to the Sage of Combat NPC in Sea 3, who evolves it into V2 provided you also hand over the style’s tied boss material and the required Beli or Gems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Fighting Style in Haze Seas?
Black Leg is widely considered the strongest, thanks to its Diablo/Azure modes and the 5% damage buff on V2. Electro and Dragon Claw are close behind for their stun and burst potential.
How do you evolve a Fighting Style to V2?
Reach 300 Mastery on the V1 style, gather its tied boss material (such as Raijin’s Core or Saturn’s Ring), then visit the Sage of Combat NPC in Sea 3 to perform the evolution for the listed Beli or Gem cost.
Can you use a Fighting Style and a Devil Fruit together?
Yes. Fighting Styles occupy a separate slot from Devil Fruits, so most players run both — a fruit for ranged options and a style for close-range combos.
All Fighting Style movesets and unlock requirements come from the official Haze Seas Trello and are accurate as of the latest update.
