Fisch just added physically roaming fish that swim through the water in real time, and casting near one gives you a much stronger chance of hooking it. The same update opens a new Fischfest Waterpark, reworks spears, expands crews with shared goals, and hands out a fresh code plus a Double XP Weekend.

Where roaming fish spawn and how to catch them
Roaming fish appear across every body of water in the world, not just one region. Instead of relying only on hidden catch tables, you can now see a fish moving near the surface and target it directly. Scan the horizon and the water around you for these visible swimmers.
The mechanic is simple. Fishing close to a roaming fish massively raises your odds of reeling in that specific fish. The closer your bobber lands to it, the better your chances.
Spears also got a rework so they are far more viable alongside this system. You can chase down a roaming fish with a spear as an alternative to casting a line, giving you two ways to secure a spotted catch.
The Roaming Fish event runs from Saturday, July 18 at 4:00 PM through Tuesday, July 21 at 12:00 AM. You can jump straight into the current build from the Fisch game page.
Fischfest Waterpark and 8 new bestiary catches
A brand-new area opened at Fischfest, built as a full waterpark with slides, pools, and a lazy river. It doubles as an activity hub with characters who need your help.
There are two main tasks at the park:
- Unclog the Pipes: Help Waterpark Wade get the water flowing again by fishing out the junk clogging the system, and earn rewards for the cleanup.
- Find the floaties: Help Milo, Ryder, and Drew reel in their missing floaties from the pools.
The Waterpark also holds 8 new Fischfest Bestiary additions, all located in the newly built area. The floaties count among the rarer catches here. These entries are time-limited, so aim to collect all 8 before the event content leaves.
Crews update: monthly goals and daily challenges
Crews now have shared progression that rewards the whole team when you work together. Two new systems drive it.

The Settings menu was overhauled with cleaner layouts, larger text, and clearer wording. Redundant options were removed, and nested tabs were combined so the menu is easier to move through.
A Double XP Weekend runs alongside the update, so it is a good window to push your levels. Wrap up any venue quests during this period, since those are set to leave.

What comes next: Harpoon Guns and The Deep
Harpoon Guns are set to arrive to work alongside the roaming fish system, giving you another way to fish from a distance. The Harpoon Guns event is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at 4:00 PM.
After that, a larger update called The Deep is planned as the next major addition. For now, the roaming fish, Waterpark, and crew goals are live, so the immediate priority is spotting fish on the surface and clearing out the time-limited Fischfest content before it disappears.
