Universal Tower Defense Z: How to Get and Evolve Ace Eater (Don Lorenzo)

Ace Eater is a Secret-rarity unit added to Universal Tower Defense Z in Update 4.75, built around Don Lorenzo from Blue Lock. He works as both a heavy DPS pick and a debuffer, and his evolved form pushes Yen income, drops enemy attack speed, and hits groups with stacking crowd control. Every one of his abilities is tied to an upgrade slot, so his power grows only as you invest.

Quick answer: Clear Act 1 of the Universal Football Event for a 15% drop chance at Ace Eater. Complete the event map 7 times and the unit is guaranteed.

How to get Ace Eater from the Universal Football Event

Ace Eater drops from the Universal Football Event map. Beating Act 1 gives you a 15% chance at the unit per clear, and 7 completions of the map guarantee it. A Shiny Ace Eater can also come out of the same event as a reward.

The event map plays like a soccer match layered on top of tower defense, so your unit roles decide where they line up on the pitch.

Build your starting formation before each match. Assign units to positions using their Sub Tags. DPS units become Strikers, Support units become Midfielders, Utility units become Defenders, and Specialists can slot anywhere.
Clear the required waves until the match enters the Football Phase. Your team then passes the ball from the Goalkeeper toward the Striker, with pass success driven by team Chemistry and luck. Each player’s Smart Card Stats set how likely a pass is to be intercepted.
Once the Striker holds the ball, a quick time event starts. Pick where to place your shot, read the goalkeeper’s movement, and score 5 goals to win the match.

You confirm the pull worked when Ace Eater lands in your unit collection after a clear. If it does not appear, you simply missed the 15% roll for that run. Keep completing the map, since the 7th completion pays out the unit no matter what.

All Ace Eater (Zombie) passives and how they unlock

The core passive, Gimme Money, opens up a new ability at each upgrade tier. Nothing is active by default beyond placement, so you unlock the full kit by upgrading through all four levels.

Swallow them Whole

Active from placement. On hit, it stamps a Yen value of 250 onto an enemy, and that value climbs by 125 each second up to a 1,250 cap. When the enemy is taken down, you collect the built-up value as Yen. Each upgrade boosts the effect by 25%, and it can only apply to 25 enemies per wave.

Yo, Michael

This active ability costs 25,000 Yen and starts at a 50% success rate. Land it and you double the Yen gain from Swallow them Whole for 2 waves. Fail and your accumulated Yen resets to 0. Every failed attempt raises the success rate by 12.5% until it lands.

Ace Eater

The unit always Cross Passes to the furthest ally. Passing the ball hands the receiver a -20% SPA buff for 12 seconds. When that receiver passes on, the second receiver instead takes a +10% SPA penalty for 15 seconds.

Zombie Dribble

While Ace Eater is not holding the ball, he fires a full AoE attack every 3x SPA. Enemies caught in range are hit with a set chain of effects and each affliction can land twice per enemy.

  • +20% Damage taken for 15 seconds
  • Stun for 4 seconds
  • Confusion for 3 seconds
  • Move 2x faster for 7 seconds

Absolute Defense

An active ability that grants Stock Invincibility against Boss Attacks for 15 seconds. It has a single global use, so save it for a critical boss moment.

Get him onto the board early, farm the event for the Football and Sealed Rose drops, and upgrade through every tier to unlock the boss-shredding Absolute Defense at the top.
