Totems are placeable buildings in Make a Drill Farm, the Roblox incremental simulator where you roll for drills, mine ores, and sell them for cash. Each Totem grants a temporary boost to ore production, spin luck, or cash earnings, and you buy them all from a single vendor near the middle of the map.
Quick answer: Walk along the conveyor belt at the center of the map to reach the Totem shop, then interact with the shop NPC to buy any Totem you can afford. Each purchase activates its buff instantly for a fixed number of minutes.
Every Totem, price, and buff duration
There are nine Totems in total, split across three boost types and three power tiers. Most run for 10 minutes, with one exception noted below. Prices climb steeply as the buff percentage increases, so the stronger Totems are meant for later stages of progression.

Note: The 10% Cash Totem lasts 5 minutes, which is half the duration of every other Totem. Every other buff, including the higher-tier Cash Totems, runs for the full 10 minutes.

The three types map directly onto the game’s core loop. Choosing the right one depends on whether you are farming ores, rolling for better drills, or converting your stockpile into cash.
- Ore Totems increase how much ore your placed drills produce, which speeds up your mining output.

Tip: Pair a Luck Totem with a spinning session and an Ore Totem with an active mining run so the buff time is not wasted while you are doing something the boost doesn’t affect.

A Totem’s buff starts the moment you buy it and runs for the listed duration without any extra step. Watch your ore, luck, or cash figures rise while the timer is running, and plan your activity around the window since each effect ends automatically once the minutes are up.
Because the buffs are temporary and the higher tiers cost billions, the cheaper 10% Totems are the practical choice early on, while the 25% and 50% versions become worthwhile once your drill farm is generating enough income to keep them running back to back.
