Aniimo: How to Get Cornet at The Argent Strait

The shell puzzle that spawns a Lv. 32 Cornet, plus the Chirpi evolution route and its base stats.

Cornet is the loud Wind bird that sits at No. 9A in the Aniilog, and it does not simply wander into view like most beach creatures. It has to be summoned by finishing a small puzzle on a remote sandbar, and once it shows up it arrives at a much higher level than anything nearby.

Quick answer: Open every shell on the small island at the far edge of The Argent Strait. A Lv. 32 Cornet spawns once the last shell is cracked, and you can catch it on the spot.

Cornet location: The Argent Strait shell trigger

Cornet lives in The Argent Strait, but only on the farthest island in the region, out past the main stretch of coast toward the eastern edge of the map near Breezy Plains. Nothing spawns there on its own. The island is covered in pink clam shells sitting under the palm trees, and the Aniimo only appears after the set is fully cleared.

Travel to The Argent Strait and head east until you reach the small offshore island. Any Aniimo with a water or flight traversal skill makes the crossing quicker.

Walk the beach and interact with every pink shell you find. They are spread along the sand beneath the palm trees, so circle the whole island rather than just the landing point.

Keep going until the last shell opens. A notice appears saying a powerful Aniimo has been detected nearby, a piercing bird call plays, and Cornet lands in the area.

A wild Chirpi often flutters around the same island. Ignore it while you are opening shells, since it is the Lumin form and not the spawn you are working toward.

Catching the Lv. 32 Cornet

The Cornet that spawns here is Lv. 32, well above the local wildlife, so bring a stronger capture device before you crack the final shell. An Anispod Hyper works, though a first throw can still bounce off. Failed attempts do not despawn it, so line up another throw and try again.

You know it worked when the capture confirmation plays and Cornet registers in the Aniilog as No. 9A with the Wind element and DPS role. If the entry is still greyed out, the throw failed and the bird is still in the area.

The evolution route: Chirpi to Cornet

If the island spawn has already been used or you would rather raise one yourself, Cornet is also the Nova stage of Chirpi. Chirpi is common on the same coastline, so catching a few and levelling one is a reliable backup.

  • Requirement: a Chirpi at Lv. 18
  • Cost: Gust Stone x3
  • Result: Lumin stage becomes Nova stage Cornet (No. 9A)

Highland Chirpi follows the same level and stone cost, but it turns into Highland Cornet instead, and the evolution has to be performed while you are in Russet Highlands.

Cornet base stats, trait, and skills

Cornet is a Wind-element DPS at the Nova stage with a total attribute value of 489. Attack is its standout number and its defences are thin, which lines up with how it is meant to be played.

Its trait, Air Superiority, raises critical rate by 20% while flying. That pairs with the Take Off mobility skill, which puts Cornet in a flying state to dodge ground attacks at the cost of taking more damage in the air. Out of combat it carries a Wind homeland ability and the Fly pathfinding action, so it doubles as a traversal option.

Its combat kit is built around vortexes and split-shot attacks. Tornado, Water Tornado, and Leaf Tornado all pull enemies toward a point, Wind Bomb Rush is the heavy-cost barrage, and Scream Splitter and Lightning Splitter fire multiple projectiles, with Scream Splitter granting a 30% damage boost for 15 seconds when several hit the same target. Its innate skill, Avian Harmony Ensemble, fires a wind beam that widens its area when all three Movements are equipped.

Other Cornet forms and where they come from

The base form is only one of four Aniilog entries. Each variant has its own number, element mix, and source, so catching No. 9A does not fill the rest of the row.

FormNo.ElementWhere to get it
Cornet9AWindThe Argent Strait, far island
Beach Cornet9BWindBeach variant
Prismana Cornet9CWind / LightningPrismana Flow event
Highland Cornet9DWind / GrassZephyrus Landbridge

Prismana Cornet spawns on the white beach of The Argent Strait during a Prismana Flow event, only one appears at a time, and it does not respawn. It also cannot be obtained through evolution, so a failed capture means waiting for another event.

Once the shells are open and the catch lands, the rest is bookkeeping. Cornet slots into the Aniilog at No. 9A, unlocks Fly for exploration, and gives you a Wind attacker that is already well past the level of the beach it came from.
