The Ooze is an enemy that is weak to Fire and resists Slash and Strike. Blighted, Sleep, Drenched, Tarred, Unconscious and Silence have no effect on it. It drops Oily Slime, and during a fight you can pilfer Rotten Scrag of Beast, Lantern Oil, Aged Beast-Steak, Aged Tideswimmer, Oily Slime, Saurian Tail and Wakestone Shard from it.
The map has 46 Ooze spots. They cluster most around The Mountains' Secret with 6, followed by Bakbattahl, Guerco Cavern and Hidden Cavern with 5 each, and Drabnir's Grotto with 4. The Unmoored World adds 9 spots, with 2 each near Olta'Battahl Coastline and Seafloor Shrine – Sacred Grounds, and 1 each near Bakbattahl, Final Proving Ground and Molten Gauntlet.
