An ore found in abundance among the crags of Volcanic Island and in the hinterlands of Battahl. Can be used to enhance equipment.
In-game description
Southron Iron is an ore in the Materials category. It is plentiful in the rocky heights of Volcanic Island and the remote back country of Battahl, and you use it to upgrade your equipment.
Mining points are the main supply. One group of 86 spots clusters around Bakbattahl, with 12, and has 4 each near Olta'Battahl Coastline, Rocky Crevasse and Rocky Lair. A second group of 76 spots gathers around Excavation Site and Volcanic Island Camp, with 11 each, plus 9 near Bakbattahl and 5 near Mountain Base Cave. These points can also give Copperstone, and smaller groups of 12 and 11 spots add Fuligin Ore or Whitecobble. In the Unmoored World, 21 spots share the ore with Copperstone, including 3 each near Debris-Strewn Coast and Drabnir's Grotto, while 10 more there can also give Eldricite and 6 can give Fuligin Ore, 2 of them near Moonswax Bridge.
Hobgoblins, Rattlers, Magma Scales and Golems drop Southron Iron, and you can buy it from the Mineral Stand and from Mubarak.
