Leah and Tronn Visions beside the party during the Healing Wind Resonance

Every character in Final Fantasy Resonance can equip a Vision, and the cleanest way to choose one is to match roles. A Vision that shares a character’s role builds on what that character already does instead of pulling them in a new direction.

Quick answer: Rain’s Chapter 7 match is Charlotte, while Lasswell gets Tronn and then Aileen in Chapter 5. For Fina, Leah is available now, followed by Ayaka from Chapter 7. In Chapter 5, Victoria or Camille can fill the role for Jake, Lid, and Sakura. Nichol has no Vision matched to his role.

Each recommendation matches a Vision to a character with the same role, adding the Vision’s skills and Mastery bonuses to that character’s job. Rain is a Sentinel, Lasswell a Breaker, Fina a Medic, Jake, Lid and Sakura Commandos, and Nichol a Synergist. For each role, the earliest obtainable Vision appears first. These choices are based on the Vision’s initial kit at 0 stars of Awakening Level, along with its Resonance and Mastery Rank bonuses. The game does not list a bonus for matching roles. Its tutorial offers only this advice: “Consider which vision best complements each character, and develop your own ideal fighting style.”

Best Visions in Chapter 1

Chapter 1 gives you two Visions for three party members: Tronn, a Breaker, and Leah, a Medic. By role, Tronn goes to Lasswell and Leah goes to Fina. Rain is a Sentinel, and no Sentinel Vision exists yet.

The role match isn’t the only setup that holds up. Rain with Tronn and Lasswell with Leah also works.

The Equipment & Abilities screen shows Rain, a Level 4 Sentinel, with Crimson Saber, Leather Armor and Earrings of Health equipped and the Tronn Vision selected.

This setup carries the party through Grandshelt Castle and onward to the Kolobos Ruins. Once the enemy is staggered, Hibernal Fury from Tronn and Healing Wind from Leah are the available Resonance choices. Either assignment leaves one party member without a Vision; the GROWTH screen marks that character “Not equipped”.

Tronn’s starting kit includes Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, and Blind, plus Stagger Power +30% and MP +10%. Leah begins with Cure, Shell, Libra, and Banish, along with Healing Magic +30% and Nullify Charm. Each Vision can be assigned to just one character at once. Charlotte is Rain’s first role match, and there’s none before her. She comes from the side quest “The Shield of the Weak” in Chapter 7. Her Resonance, Resolute Bastion, reads “Restore HP and increase physical and magic defense for all allies.”, which turns Rain’s defensive job into protection for the whole party.

Wilhelm arrives in Chapter 5 through the side quest “O General! My General!”, which opens after “The Call from Beyond”, and leans toward hitting back, with Guard, Critical Counter and Riposte in his Mastery bonuses. Warrior of Light brings healing, stagger help and Multi-Cover. Cecil pairs Cure and Protect with an attack passive, plus Cover and Magic Counter.

Best Visions for Lasswell (Breaker)

Tronn is Lasswell’s pick from the start. His Mastery bonuses are built around the stagger, restoring MP and filling the LB gauge when you stagger an enemy, and they finish with Half MP Cost.

Aileen is the first new Breaker, from the side quest “Forger of Wills” in Chapter 5. Her Resonance, Fatal Impact, reads “Deal Earth physical damage to an enemy.” Jump and Pilebunker in her Mastery bonuses give Lasswell more ways to push damage. The remaining Breakers turn up while exploring. Cloud and Clive add Strength, and Vaan is the one to equip if you want more Gil.

Best Visions for Fina (Medic)

Leah covers Fina right away and keeps stacking healing as she ranks up, with Pharmacology and Auto-Cure Ailments joining her kit.

Ayaka is the only other Medic, from the side quest “The Admirable Apprentice” in Chapter 7. She opens with status cleanup in Esuna and Dispel, and her Resonance, Angelic Embrace, reads “Restore HP, remove debuffs, and cure all status ailments other than KO for all allies.”

Terra Vision card TerraExploring sanctums and side contentFire, Blizzard, Water, Poison, Magic Attack +30%, Add Deshell–Magic +5, MP +20, Magic +15

The first two Commando Visions both come from Chapter 5 side quests, which is why they lead the list for Jake, Lid and Sakura.

  • Camille suits a physical attacker. Her Resonance, Alluvial Undertow, deals Water physical damage.
  • Victoria is a good caster choice. Her Resonance, Agony, strikes every foe with Dark magic and applies Poison and Blind; her MR 7 bonus also boosts Mastery gains.
  • Shantotto and Terra follow the same magic path as Victoria.
  • Sephiroth and Squall are the physical alternatives to Camille.
  • Noctis splits his starting boost between physical and magic attacks.

Saboteur Visions and Nichol

Amelia Vision card AmeliaSide quest “Errand’s End” (Chapter 4, after “Token Legacy”)Fire, Stone, Deprotect, Magic Attack +30%, Dual GunsErrand’s End: Deal Fire magic damage to an enemy.MP +10, Speed +10, Magic +15
Zidane Vision card ZidaneExploring sanctums and side contentFree Energy, Steal Strength, Steal Speed, Magic Attack +20%, Thievery–Stamina +5, HP +60, Speed +15

Amelia and Zidane are Saboteurs, a role that no playable character has. Nichol has the opposite problem. He is the only Synergist, and no Vision carries that role, so for him the right choice comes down to which skills you want him to have. Every Vision’s kit is in the Visions list, and the Vision Mastery Rank breakdown shows when each bonus unlocks.
